Underwhelming
Revoltech used to mean poseability, sturdy articulation, and crisp sculpts. The last two figures I've bought from this line have been underwhelming (both Evangelion figures). The articulation is too soft and hard to align. Some of the joints are loose and make it hard to properly use the accessories included. The paint job is not bad, but the small scale doesn't help.If you can afford it, my experience with the Robot Damashii line from Bandai has been a lot better lately. Revoltech adds stands, but mostly out of necessity, since the figures are almost impossible to properly display without then.It looks alright, but it'll be my last Revoltech purchase.

Great figure with some minor issues
I really like this figure. It has great sculpt, great paint. The only things I had issues with was switching the chest from 4 arms to 2 arms. It was really difficult to actually make the chest connect firmly with the peg, but after some warm water or hairdryer it fit in with little resistance. The other issues is the feet. The little cuffling things right before it reaches the actual foot to hide the joint and make it look like one fluid design, not sure if its just me but mines are crooked and after some hairdryer action one of them was fixed while the other is still crooked. My last issue with this figure is the secondary set of arms hands. Not sure if its like this for every figure, but with mine the hands for holding the spears are very very loose (not entirely sure about the other hands as I haven't used them yet) but even still the hands will for the most part fall out if I move the arms too much while he is holding the spears. Although it doesn't effect it while its posed, just some annoyance while posing. Other than that its a great figure that I highly highly recommend to any evangelion fans who want a very nice unit 13.

and the paint on it was terrible.
It was supposed to come brand new, but all the pieces were loose, it was broken in the center and would not clip back into place, and the paint on it was terrible.

4-Arms to Extinction
REVOLTECH + Evangelion = Technical Ecstasy. Incredible detail and pliability due to the REVOLTECH joint system. You can pose these figures in any position you can imagine and possible with the human body. Rivals the Medicom RAH body system in range of motion and attention to detail, and at less than half the price (and size, to be fair). Still, an incredible collectible and a must have for EVA fans. I have #26, #33, #68, #136 and #139, and they are all insanely awesome. This particular version of Shinji's EVA has two chests so that you can recreate the 4-armed version seen in the new movies - fantastic!

Expensive, with flaws in design, with obvious assembly errors
Update: With this figure's price being as high as 100 dollars, I would recommend EVA-13's fans get Kotobukiya's model kit from HLJ or Amiami. The Koto kit is less expensive and its sculpting is more accurate. However, the articulations are much weaker. If you're determined to get the revoltech figure, get the reissue version. I was told the reissue version fixed most of the problems in the first version. The figure: 4 starsEvangelion Type-13 is among favorite Evangelion units in the whole series, so I was very excited that Kaiyodo released this model. The price was 68 USD, which is very expensive compared to other revoltech Evangelion available on Amazon. The package arrived several days earlier than the earliest expected delivery date, which is great! When I opened the package, I found that the transparent tape seal had been cut open. Somebody must have opened the box and didn't bother resealing it. Moreover, the white effect part (denoted as no. 3 at the back of the box, see the uploaded photo) was nowhere to be found. Two right upper arms were shipped (see the uploaded photo). On the alternative body piece, one revoltech joint meant for the shoulder pylon (see the uploaded photo, sorry the photo is a bit dark) was broken. I guess all of these were likely due to assembly errors. But with the transparent tape seal cut open, I'm not sure who was responsible...Talking about the Evangelion unit itself, it looks awesome and it certainly captures the look and feel exhibited in the movie. The paint was good, and luckily the unit I got did not have noticeable paint defects. The overall articulations are average. The hip articulations are unacceptably limited due to the design of the thighs. Also, I found the pegs of the revoltech joints are very loose in this kit, contrary to other revoltech kits I have. The joint connecting the upper and lower bodies is especially loose: when you hold the upper body in straight position, the lower body is very likely to fall off. The two spear of Longinus are awesome: beautifully paint, extremely long. However, the joints connecting the lower arm and the hands have very small pegs, meaning that when one hand is holding one spear, the spear is likely to spin due to the large torque exerted on such a small and loose joint. Holding one spear in two hands is fine though. Typical design errors in Revoltech kits....I am as disappointed as Shinji.

Paintjob not perfect
One of the eyes is completely off. Besides that, it's good!
