Women's Gynecologic Health, 2nd Edition 2nd Edition

Got this for NP course - older edition than what used in class but still good!

I could not recommend this text higher. Worth every penny. Basic yet chock full of information. I am a new FNP working in family practice and in Public Health/Family Planning. As such I see a variety of patients and obviously many female patients in need of well-woman checks, contraception, STD testing and treatment, pre and post-natal care, etc. This text provides information on health promotion and management of a variety of healthcare issues. If you work in women's health in any way, I recommend you invest in this book. I also recommend you look into the following books. Beautifully written, love that they incorporate a feminist perspective into all aspects of the discussion.Suggestions for the next edition-- I wish there were more pictures/tables/flowcharts etc. While there are some, a lot of key differential diagnoses and symptom descriptions are described in paragraph form, which is harder to absorb for visual learners!

This was a required book for my MSN/WHNP degree and it was one of the most helpful books for me during the program and I still use it as a new NP as a quick reference. It gives a thorough explanation of various women's health issues without going so in-depth and complex that it loses your interest. The book also arrived on time and in good condition. Would buy from this seller again.

This book is in extraordinary condition. Even my husband stated “it looks like new” this book exceeded my expectations! I will definitely purchase from this seller again in the upcoming semesters!

I got turned off by the first chapter. This is feminist garbage, and it doesn't even present information you should be able to use in the clinical setting. I haven't opened it all semester. I can't wait to return it. Thank goodness I rented this trash, I at least have an opportunity to give it back rather than taking up space in my recycle bin.

Was very useful to have it on my tablet in clinical. Excellent resource for so many GYN and STIs topics. Easy to use. It is short and to the point. No lengthy reading. Very useful.

No pictures. Just lots and lots of words. This was a required text for school but I disliked it so much I gave it away....I'm 2 years out of NP school and I haven't missed it for one day. If you're ok with no pictures then this is ok because it does have lots of information.
