I hate waste and always try to repair items instead of throwing them out. This is a replacement item which I did not know existed, and am glad I discovered. The wires on this replacement battery are of good quality and the connector is sturdy.It was harder to take the speaker apart and extract the old battery than to install the new one. You have to be careful though, not to tug at the wires in the original connection, as the wires in these modern speakers tend to be surprisingly flimsy and prone to breakage. Using a pair of long nose pliers may help you with the extraction. In fact, I would advise you to look at some videos online before attempting the replacement.As the description says, just check that the connector is compatible with your speaker before you order and you will be good to go. 6000 mAh is nothing to sneeze at in this day and age and I much preferred to continue using my old speaker than to buy yet another.

This is a quality replacement battery that fits into the speaker with no problems. The plug on the battery connects the same as the old battery. The hardest part to replacing this battery is removing the end of the speaker. There are no tools provided with this battery so you will need a small Philips screwdriver and some flat removal tools such as some guitar picks. The speaker is as good as new once this battery is fitted.
