Love the Cuisipro Herb Keeper!
This product is fantastic. If you are looking to diet and add more fresh flavors and ingredients to your food, this is the way to go. I really enjoy cooking with sage about every 2-3 weeks (so too long without the Cuispro Herb Keeper). I've used the Cuispro Herb Keeper and kept sage fresh for more than a month. I haven't had as good of results with tarragon, but thyme also seems to do well. This little guy has helped me from going to the store and saved me lots of money! Get it! You won't regret it.

Great product!
I love this herb keeper. I haven't kept track of how long I've been using it, but I do know that it keeps herbs fresh a lot longer than not using it does. I've never cooked with fresh herbs much unless the recipe called for a large amount. I always hated spending close to $3.00 to use just a couple of teaspoons or tablespoons. I will say that some herbs last longer than others. The dill didn't last nearly as long as the oregano, rosemary, and sage I have. I'm not so sure the basil will last very long, but it didn't look that good to begin with. I read some 1 star reviews by people who tried parsley and cilantro in it, but I wouldn't think of trying that. They're cheap enough anyway. I just change the water when it gets yellow. I'm very glad I bought this.

prolongs shelf life of herbs and more
I like this product because it is a clean and efficient way to store fresh herbs. Additionally, when my celery or lettuce starts to wilt, I can use this keeper and these items freshen right up, so they don't go to waste. It does take some maneuvering to get everything to fit in the basket. I slice the celery into small stalks before use. The plastic does seem a little thin. I do handle it with care and hand wash only. Its true that wrapping herbs in a damp napkin might be comparable, but I like being able to see the herbs in my fridge through the plastic reminding me of what I've got. The description says it will fit in the side bin, but it is too large for mine. I keep mine on the main shelf.

Deceptive description
I wanted to give this as a Christmas gift to someone who is very keen on useful products made in Canada or Southwest Asia. This herb keeper looks great and probably functions great. However although the product specs on Amazon say it is manufactured by Brown & Co and the country of origin is Canada, the truth is that is is designed in Canada and made in China. I am glad that the design function is performed in Canada; I am upset that it was manufactured elsewhere. The description implied (country of origin) that it came from Canada. I am concerned about where products I give and use come from and spent a lot of time looking for details of where various herb keepers are made. As near as I can tell, there are NO herb keepers like this made anywhere other than China, and this one is no exception. I’m glad I saw the “Made in” label before wrapping - I could have gotten into a lot of trouble with this recipient. The description on Amazon is misleading at best. I will return it.

A fairly good solution to the problem of leftover herbs
When I buy fresh herbs at the supermarket or farmer's market, the bunch is usually more than I need for a given recipe. I bought this herb keeper to deal with that problem. It seems to work well, but for some herbs, the little holes the stems should go through are too small. You also may need to shorten the stems of most herbs to fit them inside . It takes up a fair amount of space in the refrigerator, as well. If your fridge space is limited (say, if you have a side-by-side for example), you might want to stick with the old paper-towel-and-plastic bag procedure. But if you have the space, this will work.

A must-have
You may not think you need it, but I can assure you, you do. This great herb keeper does just that, it keeps your herbs fresh. I've been using this for several weeks. Today I finished parsley that I bought 3 weeks ago. I've kept rosemary, cilantro and thyme in there for 2+ weeks and used it all before spoilage. Much longer storage times than before the herb keeper arrived. Don't let the small price fool you, it more than pays for itself quickly. I try to change the water every few days but have gone over a week without and still no spoilage, the water, however, had a light grey tinge to it.It is so nice to no longer throw away money in the form of fresh herbs. When I buy fresh herbs, I wash them first and trim the stems and drop them into the holes at the bottom of the insert. The way it's set up, you can rest the bottom tray in the center of the container while you arrange the stems. Within a few minutes I push the tray down and set it in the refrigerator. When I need a sprig of thyme or a few stems of parsley, all I have to do is pull the tray up and retrieve them and voila! They're ready to be used.Just and FYI, basil and mint should NOT be refrigerated as both will spoil quickly. I advise against putting those in the Cuisipro Herb Keeper.

No more composting Cilantro
I absolutely love cilantro but I really disliked donating half a bunch to the compost pile. I decided to try this to see if I could at least extend the amount I was able to use from a bunch. I didn't expect it to allow me to use the entire bunch. Man, I was wrong. I change the water every few days, harvest as needed and am only left with the stems afterwards. The stems are even in such good shape that my hens get them and gobble them up immediately. I am now buying two bunches at time to save me a trip to the store and will probably start adding other herbs that I like to use.It is a pretty good sized container and has to sit in the door next to our milk jug. I was worried about the water sloshing out but even the boys slamming the doors has not caused any leakage at all or toppling the container out. (I'm very impressed there). It can easily handle two very generous bunches of cilantro or other herb. Something to keep in mind if your fridge space is limited. I haven't tried it outside the fridge yet since I'm lucky enough to have the fridge space.

Leaks
While I think this is a great design and I'm using it to keep my homegrown herbs fresh, the product leaks. I have to keep a towel under it while in the fridge. I would pass and find another container to try.
