Red Sea Fish Pharm ARE21515 Saltwater Reef Color Pro Multi Test Kit for Aquarium

I rely heavily on RedSea products, especially for testing. The packaging and testing products are of high quality. Their instructions can be intimidating & not beginner friendly, but you do get used to them after a few times of testing. There are many helpful videos and instructions online from reefers that could walk you through it as well. I purchased this 'advanced' test kit because I dose the RedSea colors ABCD supplements and need to know my tanks parameters beforehand. The potassium (K) test in particular is time consuming and difficult. Out of the 3 different RedSea test kits I own, the potassium one in this kit is the only one where the instructions not only take up the whole front side of the card, but continue onto the back too. The back is usually where you'd compare the color/chart to find your level. I hope they can develop a more user friendly approach with this test in particular. Other than that, I highly recommend their test kits.

Another excellent testing kit from Red Sea. Easy to read and use. The reagents are well packaged and easy to replace.

Purchased this kit...it's only good for a couple more months. It's so old the rubber bands have already decayed.Amazon is no help whatsoever. They used to be based on some reviews...but it looks like it happened enough they now direct you to redsea's website.DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

4 stars for the 2nd kit that arrived today. The first one that was shipped had obviously already been used. All bottles were opened, things were missing, etc. Of course Amazon handled it well - sending out a replacement right away.The Potassium and Iodine tests are certainly more complex than the usual suite of reef aquarium tests we do, but not horrible. If you plan to supplement any of these things, you simply must be testing before and after.Red Sea Pro test kits are wonderful - high quality products in nice cases & durable instruction cards.This kit does what I needed. I learned that my K and Iodine were right on but Iron undetectable. So instead of buying all the Coral Colors supplements I may only need one.

The iodine test and the iron test were easy to do although somewhat time-consuming. The potassium test was somewhat surprising. I liked the little mini-buchner funnel included but much to my surprise the reagent #3, critical for the subsequent titration, was a clear liquid that did nothing when added to the filtrate! I saw the ingredient was SUPPOSED to be tetrabromophenol (which would be purple). I ordered a little bottle of 1% bromophenol on the internet and the titration could be completed, no thanks to Red Sea Fish Pharm, which had no working emails for inquiry about their strange reagent #3 looking like nothing but water. I compared the potassium to a Salifert potassium test and they were similar.

Great product, very detailed though, I would suggest that this is not good for an amateur as I did get a little confused. But if you read each step, it does work. Great little plastic storage box that it comes in too!!

I ordered the Red Sea Test Kit in January 2023. All of the reagents in the kit will expire in September 2023. There are 50 tests in the kit. If I tested once a week, the reagents would be expired in 32 weeks, thus I have wasted my money on 18 worthless tests, that's 36%. Do yourself a favor and do not order any water test kit online. Go to your local aquarium store and look at the expiration date before you buy. Some kits have an expiration date good for three years or more. I got burned on this one, but I have learned a valuable lesson.

Started using the colors program from Red Sea and needed this to test my levels for dosing the components.. Works as described and Is a top notch high quality product.. The whole Red Sea line is pretty amazing if you want your corals to Pop with color.
