This product is compatible with all petroleum based, mineral oil, and synthetic hydraulic fluids. One bottle will treat 2 to 3 quarts of oil, so depending on fluid capacity, you will need to adjust the dosage you use accordingly. For smaller engines, such as ATV, motorcycle (including wet clutch), lawn equipment, tractors, etc., use approximately 5 ounces of MS-1 for every quart of oil capacity. I doubt it will seal rings, but could seal valve guide seals where oil could leak down and into the cylinders. It is very good for seal leaks such as front and rear seals, etc.
