I purchased these to protect garments that leave my alterations shop. The covers are quite thin, which is fine for my purposes, but I consider them to be disposable, single-use items. They are long enough to fully cover even long gowns. I appreciate being able to provide every client the professional courtesy of a fully-protected garment when s/he takes it from my shop.

Okay, these are not your dry cleaners’ garment bags BUT they do work for my needs, mainly as dust covers for clothes I rarely wear.PROS:———1. Affordable….price is very reasonable for the quantity.2. Length is perfect to fully cover a dress or slacks (see pics)3. See-through4. The hanger opening at the top can accommodate more than one hanger if you like to hang maybe slacks & blouse together, etc..5. If they’re too long for your garment or space they could very easily be shortened with scissors.CONS———1. Mailed FLAT, not on a roll, which is why I deducted a star. These are flat & very compressed upon receipt. Really exercise your patience when opening them. If you get in a hurry you’re likely to rip them!…Think grocery produce bag only larger! I found to separate them, once I had ONE (sometimes hard to tell if you have one or more because they’re so thin), I then found the bottom of the bag and gave it a GENTLE “scrunch”, if you know what I mean, to separate front & back of the bag. Opening them is NOT for a bull in a china shop!2. Super THIN3. The inside front & back of each bag clings to the other side. Therefore, you need to run your hand GENTLY inside to loosen it up to be able to put over the hanger. Remember to take your Patience pill here, folks. Think large trash or leaf bag only thin & clear!Would I buy them again? Probably, as long as I’m using them in my closet as dust covers only.

These bags come as a folded up stack. Once unfolded, identifying or removing the individual bags is next to impossible. Many of the bags in fact appear to be single layer film instead of bags. It took me several failed attempts and multiple bags thrown out before I was finally able to isolate a bag. Opening up the bag to insert a garment is equally difficult. The film does not readily separate and opening the bag results in more frustration. On my first attempt, it took me over 5 minutes to finally open up a bag. While inserting the garment, the bag tore. I threw the entire batch out after that. This product is complete junk. Bottom line: the bags cannot be readily isolated or opened up, and are too flimsy to hold up to even modest handling when inserting the garment. I'm looking for another solution - this one is a complete fail.

I sew aprons, bibs and fidget mats for people with Alzheimer's and other dementia. I want to keep my newly-sewn items clean, and ordered these, thinking they would not last and would rip easily...but better than nothing (Could not pay more as I make no money, the proceeds go to Alzheimer's). They open easily, the items I have on hangers go on easily, I've not had a single tear, and people browsing can't hand them until they sanitize their hands or wear acrylic gloves. A real bargain for me!
