Just what a space cadet needs.
Rather thin plastic, but easy to snap together. Looks wonderfully retro. I use to model for a comic book. Not for use in an actual vacuum, as the face area is open. Otherwise, put it on and you're Tom Corbett!

Decent at best
Very flimsy and the buttons on mine were not lined up so it’s not even wearable

Looks cool in photos, but very chintzy
I wore this helmet when I went to a party as Felicette, the French cat who went to space. The photos of myself in the helmet are very convincing (a little thanks to Instagram filters...), but the build quality isn't great. As another reviewer said, the snaps don't line up. Yes, you can staple it, but then you're stuck with the thing on your head all night; that defeats the point of snapping on and off.I'm not sure if it's the inability to fully snap it, but I cannot get this helmet to actually sit on my neck/shoulders properly. The only way I could sit it upright and not drooping down, leaning against the back of my skull, was if I wrapped a scarf tightly around my neck for padding. Suffice it to say, that is not very comfortable, nor is it space-accurate!The best part about this is the face-hole. Breathing is nice to do, as is drinking beer. The build of this thing is worth $10, not the $30 I paid. however, there are few options, and this seems better than going for a child's helmet.

Astronaut Helmet Success!!
Overall, the helmet is comfortable for an adult. It is delicate but there aren't many options for this type of item so the price is worth it. There is a large opening in the front so you can talk, eat, and drink. Once the helmet is on, you cant see the opening at all. My costume was a success as Sandy Squirrel. Love it! Thank you.

Cheap Plastic - Not worth the money
Came dented and is made out of cheap plastic, like what a Barbie’s box is made of…very thin and not worth the price.

Shipping bad, product quality meh
It does its job but very flimsy plastic. Came dented and was able to pop it back to the general shape but you can see where it was bent. It also arrive very dirty has dust and gunk all over it.

It's a plastic dome
This definitely feels overpriced for what you're getting. It's two halves of a plastic dome that connect around your head with snaps. It gets the job done for my Madame Leota costume but I have to be very careful, it feels like the thin plastic could crack/break/crumple if I move wrong. It's not very heavy and the hole in the front keeps it from feeling claustrophobic. Not bad but I do feel like I overpaid.

Retro spaceman win!
This is such a fun helmet! We decided to go “retro” / “jetsons” space themed for a holiday party and this helmet was perfection! It came in two pieces with snaps to easy assemble. It has a large hole on one side that we used to drink/ eat through so it’s very functional in addition to adding to our look! Very comfortable and surprisingly large- the neck fit both myself and my husband with ease. 💯 buy if you want a more retro look for your spaceman theme!
