General Pencil Darice, All Art Sharpener with Canister, Multicolor

This is a great little manual pencil sharpener! It offers replacement blades to buy for it as well. It is nicely sized and has been a great little portable sharpener to take traveling. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this handy little gem. It sharpens my oil based pencils as well as the wax based without breaking off the tips or getting gummed up. Great price for a great little sharpener. You can't go wrong. be sure to order the additional blades as well. I highly recommend this great colored pencil sharpener.

It sharpen pencil real good

Maybe I got a bad one, because this is the worst pencil sharpener I've ever used. Pencils end up with long, choppy, mangled leads. Thank goodness I tested it on a regular pencil before I put one of my expensive aquarelles in there.

This is a good little sharpener for when you're on the go and not near your regular one. This sharpens to a fine point, but the rest of the area sharpened is uneven and not smooth. When the pencil gets down lower, this tends to weaken the point and the pencil breaks. Now this might be due to the fact that I use this sharpener with woodless graphite pencils that don't have wood to buffer the area being sharpened. Whatever the reason, I would not use this as my regular sharpener, only as a portable sharpener to take with me when I'm on the go. It is very good for that b/c of the fact that the point is fine. It's also good on charcoal pencils. I didn't like it for my artist's colored pencils, though. It's good to have with you when you don't have access to a regular electric sharpener, but I wouldn't rely on it as my main pencil sharpener.
