Pro Honeywell Wireless Room Thermostat Direct Replacement for Honeywell DT92 DT92E DT92E1000 Digital Thermostat Works with Honeywell BDR91 Receiver

Somebody had stolen the boiler's room thermostat at my daughter's new flat.The boiler's Receiver Unit was still fitted and was a Honeywell T4R model.However I found out that its possible to "pair" a T4R receiver with the T3R room thermostat which is cheaper than the T4R thermostat and has 95% of that model's functionality.The default timer/temperature schedule is acceptable and the one-touch buttons to temporarily change temperature or extend time periods are very convenient.Programming a new "custom" schedule is tedious (a bit like setting a 1980s video casette recorder) and its made worse by a Quick Start Guide that isn't much bigger than a postage stamp with tiny faint-grey text that's hard to see let alone read. But I downloaded the full User Instrucions which made it easier.

Great product

I replaced an older Honeywell unit with this which had the same design of backplate making installation a matter of minutes. However, the instructions and labelling were very clear and so I expect the same would be true regardless of the the brand being replaced. The set up was also very straightforward and connection with the control box instant. It was a nice touch to have the batteries for the base unit included. My only slight gripe is that the buttons in the base unit are not labelled and so it takes a good memory, the easy to understand instructions or a little guesswork even to turn the base unit on or off. That is a minor issue but did mean I couldn’t award 5 stars.

I bought this for an elderly relative that needed an easy to use portable thermostat with an easy read display. I was replacing an existing wireless Honeywell unit where the display had died, so the wiring was easy. The one thing to note is that the unit should not be fitted closer than 30cm to the boiler. This was shown in the instructions almost as an after-thought and the previous installation was actually a few centimetres too close. Had I noticed this at the beginning of the installation, I would have moved the wireless transmitter further away. Anyway, it works fine and the wi-fi reaches all of her rooms.

Great item and easy to install the box. Times is self explanatory. Set the timer or use manually.

Bought to replace an older one that fell of the wall,good value for money easy to use very accurate to.

If there is a power loss to the receiver and then the power is restored the unit doesnt synch. you have to decrease the setpoint and then increase it then the units sychronize, if you dont then if you have a demand for heating it wont work

Detials say is works with Honeywell BDR91 which it does not as after nuerouse pairing attempts it would pair but not activate the boiler. Becasue of this I have given it 4 stars but luckily it came with new relay box which I was able to install but a lot of people buying this may not be able to do this.
