The Crafty Kit Company British Birds Robin Needle Felting Craft Kit for Beginners Including Corriedale Wool, Needles and Instructions

I have never needle felted despite loving crafts. This kit is ver straightforward and I am lookind forward to trying it.

Item is a gift so I cannot comment on the finished product.It is packaged well and arrived when expected I would buy again.

First ever go at needle felting. I found the instructions lacking a bit and it put me off starting for a while, but I found a good youtube channel that helped me out at how to make the feet and how to start. As a beginner I also had no idea when to stop or how firm it should be, but I enjoyed seeing it taking shape. Now I know how it works I think I'll try another project.

This cute little Robin makes a lovely gift

This is my first attempt at needle felting. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It's actually quite straightforward. You can make the wool more firm by poking it more with the needle. This can help to define the shape around the wings and down the back. If I was to do this robin again I would make him a little plumper and shorter in the body. I think he looks more like an American Robin than a European one. Anyway, I found the activity rather therapeutic. It gave me something relaxing to do in the evening before bedtime.By the way, I had plenty of wool left over so I'm going to buy some more colours and try something else.

I thought it would be a nice easy project to get started…it took 2 hours to fathom how to do it’s legs,then the next 4 hours were just trial and error because the kit assumes you already know the basics of needle felting..I don’t …you tube assisted but I just kept plonking wool on top of wool and poking it into a ‘bird ‘ shape🙈
