Know a little about plumbing.
These fitting are good. To all that say the 3/8 doesn’t fit, you need to know that it’s 3/8 NPT to 1/4 compression. The 3/8 NPT will not fit 3/8 compression threads. They do fit 3/8 NPT threads like they are supposed to so know what you are working with before you leave a review.

Fitting is Metric
The 3/8" male fitting and the 1/4* compression fitting is fine but tightening the fittings is best done with a 13mm and 17mm wrenches.

Not ⅜ standard. Doesn’t fit
The product in this listing is at the bottom. The skitter is all ⅜ standard threaded pipe for sink water connections. As you can see, the product in this listing is far to large. The ¼ inch side is correct (not pictured) but I’ve side being wrong makes the whole thing worthless.

Well made compression fittings
These brass fittings had clean threads and worked well with 1/4" plastic tubing. I used them with a couple of in-line water filters. Recommended.

Doesn't lock and seal onto the pvc line
Caused a leak that damage my whole main level under my fridge that took $3k to replace.

Couldn't find these in the hardware store
Seems like these would be available everywhere. But, no. Glad Amazon is here to save the day. These worked great without leaks (Used Teflon tape on the non compression side.)

Didn't fit quite right in my application
I am not a plumber so some of my trouble with the item could be related to my inexperience. I am attempting to use this fitting to connect a 1/4 inch outside diameter copper tube that provides water to my evaporative cooler to a 3/8 inch female fitting. The ferrel and nut were slightly smaller in diameter than 1/4 inch (I measured around 0.245 inches) so I couldn't use the ferrel and had to drill the nut out slightly for the tube (measured very close to 0.250 inches) to fit. This part of the fitting worked fine with a larger ferrel and a drilled out nut. On the other hand, I can't get the 3/8 inch npt end of the fitting to seal to my 3/8 inch female npt fitting even with teflon, dope, and a lot of tightening.
