This sub amp is amazing, powerful and great sound, much better than expected!!
“This sub amp is amazing, powerful and great sound, much better than expected!!"I had 2 12” non-powered subwoofer on each side of my music listening room, I used to have two 150W subwoofer amplifiers to drive them but never satisfy the sound quality since they don’t have enough of power to run with my 400W subwoofer speakers. And I heard many good things about the amplifier with the DSP processor, so I did my research and try to find a light weight high power subwoofer amplifier with DSP.There’re not many choices on Amazon that meet my required, and then I found this product has the spec and function I need, so purchased one of these when they just came out.Very surprised when I received this amp, came in very good looking packaging, the color box design is beautiful, looks like a thousand dollar product. During the open boxing, very impressed the building quality, It is well made with excellent materials too. It comes with stereo/mono RCA line level audio input that can receive full band line level audio from an audio amplifier and receiver. It also comes with Speaker In connector if you’re running with older receiver that doesn’t have the RCA Sub Out, very flexibility. It's a class D amp with switching power supply, light weight, less heat and no audible hum, noise, or distortion. The LCD display is bright and clear, very easy to setup even without reading the user manual. After replaced my old 150W sub amp and connect with this PSB-400DSP to feed my 12” sub, much more powerful and really big difference!! Now I can feel those deep, natural, clear low frequency tones thru my sub speakers. I listen to all kinds of music from alternative to classic rock to electric dance music and a little rap/hip-hop mixed in, the bass impact on the music is simple breathtaking, it handles the bottom end really well. I haven't tried tweaking the settings much, just set the right volume, everything is pretty much the factory default and I haven't felt the need to change anything. The 12V trigger is other good feature but I don’t need it once I set the trigger as MUSIC, the amp will turns on from standby mode once it defected the audio signal from my 5.1 AV receiver.Overall I am very happy with this purchase, If you are looking to add some low end to your system, this is a great addition, especially for the money and feature.

great sound
i bought this to replace a plate amp that broke. its a very straight foreword install, it works very well. my only complaint is the lack of a separate gain control. you have to toggle thru the control button to get the gain control and its in steps instead of infinitely variable. i know this function is available thru the receiver but i use two subs and i need the gain controls to match their outputs. this probably will not be an issue for most buyers. .

Soundavo May Have a Winner With This Mono Amp
The media could not be loaded. GreatProduct it really hits the bass. The bass is a 15 inch Klipsch. The amplifier In the Klipsch went out once under warranty and again eight years later. I don’t want an internal amp anymore, so I just added some clips and hooked it up. Now I have an external amp that really moves the 15 inch actually better than the Klipsch amp. Video was on sub setting 0db. Amp range #9db to -9db.My only caveat is the 12 volt trigger is not a regular on like on all my other devices. I can’t figure out what cable to use. Sands I had answered questions quickly, but with unsatisfactory cable options. I’m not sure the email answer even knows this particular device.Klipsch should be ashamed of their amp design. 2 times in 8 years. The bass is used mostly for LFE purposes, not hard bass music.

powerful, nice unit
I've been using this to power a pair of 12" subs for a month or so now. Very powerful and clean sound. I had a little trouble setting it up because I didn't notice the input selector switch on the back of the unit. The unit would boot up and work, but then shut off for after a few minutes because it was set for 12 volt input trigger. Set it to auto and it comes on automatically when you play music. All good after that. The volume control could be a little easier to get to. You have to scroll through the entire menu to get to the volume option to make adjustments as the style of music changes. Overall a great component.

Broke almost immediately. AMZN won't accept return.
I received the item. It took me a few weeks to get my AV guy to install. Unfortunately it stopped working a few days later. And by the time I scheduled my AV guy to return to troubleshoot, it was past the Amazon returns window. Probably best to avoid buying expensive AV gear on Amazon. I should have bought the gear through my AV guy's supplier. Will do that going fwd.

A superb sub amp with great value
We had a professional installer to setup the home theater system 2 years ago, that comes with two 10” in-wall subwoofer speaker load with SA1000 sub amp, however the sub amp just blown out last month without any reason. We’re consider to upgrade the higher output power sub amp instead go repair, then choose between Nuvo 200 and Soundavo PSB-400, even both amps come with similar spec but this one has more power and has LCD screen with DSP, the price is cheaper too. Since we already have pre-wired on our system, so just quickly unplug the cables from the SA1000 and use the existing wires to replace the PSB-400DSP. Wow…. very impress the dynamic power and feel better low end punch sound than ever, make a subsonic filter and crossover adjustment is easy too, just simply follow the user manual. The building quality looks pretty good too, very versatile and sound great, simple to hook up, I’m very happy the result with my purchase.
