In my third year with these spindles, and still good!
Fit my 54" x340 cutting deck perfectly. I installed them in May 2020, and when I topped off their grease this spring (very important to do to all spindles every year) and replaced the cutting belt, I gave them all a good turn by hand, and they all still spin easily and evenly. There have been zero problems with the mower, the belt, the blades, or the quality of the cut compared to the OEM spindles. I've had this mower for 16 years, this is the third set of spindles, and so far these are holding up just as well or better than the OEM parts that filled those spots in the deck for the first 13 years. These could be replaced every three years and still be cheaper than buying OEM given my experience, and I have every reason to believe these will last 6 years like the OEM parts always last me.

John Deer Z425 54C" Deck
Works just as advertised, very good compatible parts. Needs to be greased prior to install.Update:One of the spindles bearings failed, the spindle core began to wobble resulting in sever damage to the spindle and the cores threading, striped the teeth off the deck pulley and destroyed the nut. and now I have a bent mulching blade. Tried to save money and ended up with a $285 repair. Going back to OEM parts. Not worth it. it's bad.

Great Replacement Spindles!
These replacement spindles were a perfect fit on my John Deere X485 lawn mower w/ triple blades. Well built and went on easily. I do recommend using an impact driver in removal of existing rusted nuts.

An additional thin spacer washer is needed with original pulley and nut.
decent spindle but a thin spacer washer is needed between the original pulley and original pulley nut. the original spindle nut bottoms out to soon and hits the pulley/spindle shaft ribs, and pulley will be slightly wobbly and loose. installed a set on a jd x500.

Big money saver.
Easy job, fit the X540 as expected. Have a cut off tool ready if the old ones bolts are stubborn. Don't forget to grease, and it takes plenty. Can't speak to longevity yet. Dealer quoted about $1000 for this easy job.

Didn't realize it didn't come with the nuts...

Half the cost of OEM part
Seems there work fine. Used to refurbish a John Deere 62c deck. We will see how long they last. Half the cost of the OEM parts.

Almost got it right... UGH!
I read the previous reviews and decided to buy this for my John Deere mower. I got the parts and installed all three of them but had a problem with one of the spindles.... it was not spinning freely. When I put them all on two spun freely and one did not. The problem was that the bearing was not pressed into the housing all the way. The pulley was rubbing agains the bearing seal and housing. I had to remove the spindle from the deck and press the bearing in so that the blade would spin freely. I am worried now that this was a bad choice. We'll have to see how they stand up after use. Of course I could return it... but I need to get the grass mowed. And the inconvenience of removing and packaging it and sending it and waiting for the new one... UGH
