keep the original spring! Don't toss the spring away with the empty ink tube--even if your pen isn't specifically asked to keep the spring! Take no chances! The spring that comes with the refills are half the size of the needed spring (the one that comes with the pen). I need to move the original spring to the next refill I use.

I have been hunting high and low for this refill and finally found correct size for my Bic Atlantis pen that I had for the longest time. I love this pen and now I good to go.

I hate throwing things away if they can still be used, and so many promotional pens are refillable. These work well in most of the pens I have and keep me from having to send them to the landfill. The ink flows smoothly and they're easily trimmed if they're a fraction of an inch too long. The office supply store used to carry lots of refills like this, but lately they just stock very fancy refills for fancy pens, so I'm glad these are available on Amazon.

Only down fall is the spring it comes with doesn’t work for my pen so I have to take the spring from the original and put it on this one! Kind of a pain!
