OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Sponge Holder,Black

Wish I had purchased one of these long ago. So handy for holding wet sponges while they dry. It is well made and serves its purpose well.

Looks nice, holds a couple sponges, catches the liquid, lets you drain it and clean it super easy. Not much else to say! Your call on whether it's worth the money I'm debating it myself but it seems like a good quality product. Good weight and finish, not sure why scent is one of the ratings it does nothing to mitigate any smells.

I looked all over for a good sponge holder for my family's kitchen. SO glad I found this one.We live in a really humid place, so our sponges were getting gross way too quickly. Most holders seem to be the suction cup kind that sticks in the sink. But I didn't want that, cause it makes the sponge damp any time someone uses the sink... which kind of defeats the purpose!I ordered this one instead and am very happy with it so far. It's sturdy and doesn't tip over. It looks neat and tidy on the countertop. It's easy to empty. And most importantly, sponges dry lightning fast and don't smell! Hooray! My only tiny complaint is that the holder is kind of short lengthwise, so long/jumbo size sponges might hang over the edge. It's not a big deal though.They should totally release this in some more colors, we have aqua blue accents in our kitchen and I would've loved it in that color.Anyway: 5 stars, I highly recommend this!

I was having a last damn straw kind of day when I bought this sponge holder. I was sick of the back of my sink, sick of the water pools, the vague mold smell, all of it. This was the first sponge holder I saw that had drain holes and didn't take up a ton of room so I pulled the trigger.Overall? Pretty good decision. It sits very well and holds your standard scotchbrite sponge without much fuss. The bottom pops off so you can drain excess water or give the whole thing a good wash. It does what it says on the tin, can't complain.My one complaint- and the reason for four stars- is that while this sponge holder manages standard sponges very well, it's not QUITE wide enough for other styles of sponge, like a microfiber sponge or the by now tiktok famous scrub daddy sponge. I did GET a scrub daddy to fit, but I had to cut a fourth of the sponge off, leaving me with a little scrub daddy to use elsewhere.Considering how the cleaning market has seen weird growth spurts and popularity booms in different products, a version of this sponge holder where one side is a little bit bigger would be nice. I am perfectly happy using the one I've got and hey, maybe a holder like that already exists and I just don't know about it.

This takes up very little space and looks pleasant on the counter surrounding the sink. Although two sponges touch, they still dry out nicely between uses. Standard-thickness sponges fit fine. I don't think oversized or thick sponges would fit.

I finally replaced my old one with this exact one! Great VALUE! I had my other one for years. You can run it through the dishwasher but I do believe over the years it caused mine to crack and eventually broke and I finally needed to replace it. This me one works great for my sink/counter design. Highly recommend.

It's a simple & stylish, sponge holder. BUT..they should have made the base a little bit longer because it is small, and after using it a few weeks, yesterday morning I noticed a lighter stain on my quartzite counter, and think it was from a soapy dish sponge that over hung the base, and leaked. Nothing worked to remove the lighter stain, and then I rubbed a very small smidge of olive oil which thankfully removed (or camouflaged) the bleached stain. I had to put a larger protective base under the sponge holder to catch any drips that might occur due to it's small size. As far as many items claiming to be "rust proof" and then turn out they're not, upon reading some reviews and seeing photos where the rusting had occurred, once I received this, I added clear waterproof silicone around the base where the partitions are soldered to the base as well as underneath. I hope this works. (Maybe(?) a super glue/Gorilla glue might help at the base of the partition rods if you don't have silicone?) The photos make it look larger than it really is. Therefore, although I still like it, I cannot give it five stars.

This is yet another great OXO kitchen item! It does just what it claims & that is: it manages TWO normal basic kitchen sponges. Beware the grouchy reviews which claim it is TOO SMALL! It is not. It is perfect for managing basic sponges; it was not designed to hold big scrubber sponges or other kitchen cleaning tools.I especially appreciate that IT IS BIG ENOUGH TO DO ITS JOB YET DOES NOT MAKE A STATEMENT ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER; it keeps water from dripping onto my beautiful ceramic tile, and protecting this tile as well as not having sponges flopping around on the top of the sink were my goals. Since it is stainless & plastic it is nearly invisible, and that is a great advantage over most other options for sponge corralling.
