Excellent bit of kit
I have a Ubiquiti equipped network at home and wanted to try another one of their access points. This access point is quite small and not obtrusive in our living room. The blue LED on the top of the access point can be made dimmer or a different colour if wanted.I plugged it into my Ubiquiti switch and the controller recognised it quickly so I could adopt it and then configure it. All very simple and easy.Performance so far has been good and no issues. I can recommend this and Ubiquiti kit in general.

What WiFi should be like
From personal experience, Unify is a brand that makes excellent products, but it does require time and due diligence to implement properly. So I ordered one of these because I already have the a Unify UDM Pro, Unify Switches (POE enabled). So the packaging is great, feels like opening a product that was designed with care.In the box you will find a POE injector and often these will have an EU 2 pin plug unless you order from a UK distributor line NetXL (been conscious to buy from them when ordering, as they add a UK plug).I don’t use the POE injector because I have a POE switch, so plugged in the CAT6 cable and a few moments later the Unify Software alerts to a new device to be adopted.Few clicks, a software update is applied, it extends to the existing mesh and off you go.There are loads of advanced options but I do like seeing how the clients are connected, the performance of the WiFi signal, changes to the channel, friendly names, endless really.Great kit!

Great product
Needed to extend my WiFi range to cover corners the Ubiquiti UAP AC didn't cover. As I don't have ethernet across the house I use it meshed and it provides fantastic coverage.Rated 4 for installation as not plug and play. But anyone used to the Network Controller and setting up APs etc shouldn't have a problem adopting the device into their network. Within 10 min from plug in it was ready for use (including time for firmware upgrade).Great service from NetXL to include a UK plug.

Excellent - but comes with European plug
FlexHD, perfect mesh with Ubiquity UniFi Dream Machine (first gen). The only disappointment is comes with a European plug, not a three-pin UK plug.

Not easy to setup, but AMAZING WiFi performance!
This is NOT simple to setup, as you need to use the UniFi software on your PC to configure it... and figuring out what you need isn't obvious. UniFi is designed to be used in commercial settings where you have a professional installing and maintaining things, so there is a steep learning curve for an amateur. If you're used to an all-in-one router, WiFi, Modem with a simple web interface, you'll be a bit lost at first. That said... the WiFi stability and speed has never been better. I used to have quite a high-end consumer WiFi router, but this just kills that dead.In short, it will take a few hours to learn about and get setup, BUT you will be VERY HAPPY that you did.The only disappointment is that my EdgeRouter X SFP router uses 24V POE, but this access point requires 48V. That means I need to use the included POE injector instead of just a simple cable from my router. That's not a big problem, but worth a mention.

Ubiquiti quality you would expect
What can I say? Mid you’re adding to and existing Ubiquiti mesh WiFi setup, this thing just works and does exactly what you would expect. Coverage outdoors is brilliant. We have a large garden but so long as you can see the access point, you’re pretty much guaranteed WiFi, pretty neat. The thing is fairly inconspicuous and the mounting works well.

Great signal.
Great Wi-fi Access points. Had issues with my previous Apple Airport reaching all rooms in the house. Placed this under the stairs and now get full Wi-fi around the house, and 200mb via Wi-fi. Also purchased another and attached to the back of the house which provides signal 25m away to the outhouse at the back of the garden. So far, great product overall. Note, you need to use the controller software to configure it, but its fairly straight forward - you simply set up your config, then adopt the access points to inherit the config.

Doesn't ship with UK power plug
By now, you'd hope that vendors would have understood the law on selling electrical products in the UK.It is simple. It must have a UK plug on it.These do not.As the PoE adapters require a trephoil cable, this is not something that you're likely to have hanging around. So it becomes a pain in the neck, having to chop off the neatly sealed plugs, and rewire them with UK plugs. So, one star.
