Absolute winner.
Been looking to replace my aging Bose QCs for many years. I ended up with B&Ws P5, which has continued to serve me, with top quality sound even for many years. Even tho those were more on ear rather than over the ear, I stuck with it due to great sound quality and even better build quality and materials. However, in this era of Bluetooth headphones and iPhones with no headphone jack, I resumed my search and only recently came across these, which to me seemed pretty well priced. Now after trying them on, I feel like these over/around the ear cans are an absolute winner!Pros:Excellent active noise cancellation.4/5 on sound quality.Easy to use and paired without any hassle.Comfort is good so far even tho materials could’ve been a bit better.Price point. Purchased on sale so I consider it an absolute steal!Cons:Only works with google, which I hate, and there’s no way to disable it even, but I’ll live with it.Will consider updating this review in a few months. But don’t wait for it, just buy these already, esp if you sick of those horrible sounding in ear headphones / ear plugs.

Top notch sound, battery life as claimed, but multi-function button problematic
UPDATE: Philips does NOT support any product outside of Warranty period! The ear pads and foam on top of headband has started coming off and flaking so I went to the service center to see if those can be replaced. To my horror, I was told that no support is given outside of warranty period - horrible, considering I paid close to 10k bucks for this. Philips basically says, no matter how expensive your stuff is, if there's a problem, throw it out and get a new one. In fact, if your unit has a problem, Philips' solution is the same - issue a replacement. That's not a very environment-friendly way. I'll update the review with pictures of the state of my headphones shortly. This review is after 1+ years of usage. Sound quality is just amazing, and gets even better when ANC ON. It still gives around 30 hrs of playtime in wireless mode with ANC ON. There is a slight loss of quality when using these plugged in, and again, even when plugged in, leaving the ANC ON gives a better sound quality. In wireless mode, there is little to no lag (as tested with Netflix, Call of Duty mobile and Amazon Prime). I have heard some lag when browsing on Youtube but haven't noticed it much. This works with Fire Stick as well without any issues. One thing to note though is that if you're not connecting to a high-speed (5Ghz / dual band) router it might interfere with the net connection. The carrying box this comes with is sturdy and sleek so you can carry it without the fear of it getting damaged. The multi-function button and touch controls are a little difficult to use. I have ended up activating Google Assistant when I just wanted to Pause the music! The multi-function button worked like a charm all through the warranty period and has only now started giving problems and it is a struggle to switch on/off the headset as most times it is not registering at all. Another consistent problem is that it doesn't announce which device it is connected to, which led to many situations when I expecting to connecting to a specific device but it didn't and I was frantically looking for the one to which it is connected so that I could disconnect from that and connect from proper device. This is definitely a good buy at around 9,500 - 10,000 rupees. Any more than that you might find it difficult to justify the cost.

Not worth the money
The media could not be loaded. Update:Headphones lasts for a very short period, I brought this expecting it will work till 5 years atleast.I used this like 2-3 times a week for a few hours.Even genuine leather falls apart like this but, Philips should have thought this through that not all customers will use their headphones every single dayOld review:ProsMic is amazingAudio with aux is goodLooks amazingComfortable ear cushionTouch Controls are goodGives a premium feel at an affordable priceBattery is greatWay better than the Bose headphones you get for 18000 in featuresNoise cancellation is decent for the price rangeAmazing for office usageConsThe headphones need to be a little looseAudio quality on Bluetooth should have been better, it's good using the aux though.A little enhancement on the AI for surround sound is lacking. Not up to par for watching movies with surround sound effect

Does the job
If you are expecting full noise cancellation, look elsewhere. The Philips 805BK is more of a mid-level set of headphones that ticks all the boxes, but does not really excel in any area.Noise cancellation is mediocre unless you are listening to something. It does not shut out the world as one may expect. There is still some noise that bleeds through. The ambient setting though is almost as good as not having the headset on and works as expected. Call quality is not as great as people could not hear what I was saying. The background noise cancellation on the mic seemed to work though.Quality wise, it is a little bass heavy, but the higher tones also do come through quite clear and I rate it 5 star for the sound. Battery life is also good and given that I use it sparingly, it goes a week between charges at about 2 hours use per day. The controls are not as hard to use as some say and needs some getting used to. The only bit I could not get to work was cupping the right side to stop music as it always tries to launch the google assistant instead. For the price, it is definitely worth buying and I would recommend it to those who are looking for a quality headset that does the job and do not expect 100% noise cancellation.
