Foot pursuits, water, mud, reliability at its finest
I work as a Ranger and walk in all types of environments. I’ve gotten into foot pursuits with these boots, been through water and mud, and walked through transient camps that contain needles and bolts and whatever else you could imagine. These boots are excellent for the job. Once you break them in (like any other boot) they will conform to your foot for extreme comfort. They are truly waterproof and slip resistant (including in mud and asphalt). Also if you step on a needle, it’s not going through. I have recommended these boots to my department members and many of them have bought them and never looked back. They are reliable. I see many people complaining about the zipper. I’ve had at least three people not including myself buy these boots with no issue. I’m sure you won’t have an issue if you buy them. I would highly recommend…..

Best boots I've bought in a while size 15!!
Wear them every day for 10+ hours a day. Very comfortable and I wear a size 15. Durable and easily removable with the zipper. Worth every penny. They are made in vietnam if anyone cares ( thought danner was American)

Excellent value
When I first purchased these boots they are very tough to put on even with the side zipper. There is no loop in the back of the boot to pull the boot onto your foot. I bought a metal boot horn and that problem is solved. I have worn boots for duty purposes for the last 33 years. I have tried alot of different boots. This is the first pair of Danner Boots. I would be hard pressed to buy a different brand. The fit and support these boots are amazing. The wear factor seems outstanding. I currently work 12 hour days on concrete. My feet feel better in these boots than any other I have ever owned. Worth the price.

5 months before its first tear
Honestly I’m very dissatisfied as this was me splurging to buy a more expensive boot. These are extremely comfortable but for nearly $300 they should not have torn in 5 months…

Great boots, but the zipper is about useless.
These boots are super-comfortable, they feel like a pair of tennis shoes (which is something any quality boot should do). They aren’t cheap, but they are made in the USA, if that’s important to you (it is to me, anyway). And you know they aren’t boots made by cheap labor and marked up to a high price. The zipper doesn’t go down far enough to do any good, you still have to lace/ unlace the boots to get them on or off. That’s why a four star instead of five. The boots do run a little small. I got my normal size, and they fit okay, but if they were just a hair smaller, I would’ve had to get a bigger size.

Most comfortable boot I own.
These have to be the most comfortable boot I’ve ever owned. Wore them for two weeks at a range training. I was one of the only ones not removing my duty boots for shoes, or complaining my feet hurt. I’d buy a second pair if I wasn’t a working man.

Good solid boot.
A little bit heavy, but overall a good boot. Takes a shine well and is definitely fully waterproof and well insulated.
