I am a huge board game player, and every time I play board games for some reason I just think about how much I love Spirit Island, and I feel like I have felt this way about Spirit Island ever since getting this expansion. The two best parts of this expansion for me is the new Spirits, which add a lot more strategic depth to the game, and the 6 player option. I will never forget teaching my friends how to play this in a day long 6 player game. I remember thinking that they would very much dislike the game and be bored. But after playing and finishing a game in 4-5 hours, they all wanted to go another round and requested higher complexity spirits (I had them start with low complexity spirits). Great expansion for a great game.

Great addition to the base game. Adds a ton more variety with new spirits and adversaries. Ramps up the complexity. Component quality is great.

I enjoy this game, and it’s cooperatives so it’s good for developing strategies and team work.

This expansion is a great one especially if you have a board game group of 5-6 as it increases base games player cap from 4 to 6. Along with the new player cap it also adds a plethora of new spirits allowing for all kinds of play-styles and abilities.

If you already have Spirit Island and the Branch and Claw Expansion this is the next one to get. Love the spirits in this, the more the merrier.

I had horizons and the base game for a year. I played it every month or two. Fun but I had to be in the mood for it.Jagged earth added 10 spirits- every one of them is a blast to play. The events and wilds/strife/badlands add so much depth to the game as well. So much replayability!I went from 8 plays in 2023 to 49 plays in 2024 and counting! Such good value. I would recommend this over branch and claw if you could only get one

A fantastically designed expansion that greatly enriches the experience. The balanced is maintained even with 10 more beautifully complex/themed spirits and tons of new power cards. Solo play is incredible and multi-player is good up to about 4. You can play with 6, but it is a lot especially if its 6 new people. The game is difficult and long, but great certain kinds of gamers. 10 out of 10 from me!

While not required, Branch and Claw and Feather and Flame were both added to my copy of Spirit Island prior to this expansion. I will say that there is some added complexity when it comes to this expansion, but this is the reason I love SI.The fact that you can play with up to 24 VERY different spirits brings a level of replayability that is seldom seen in board games. Adding the ability to have up to six spirits playing at the same time also makes for some potentially interesting game nights.Overall, this expansion is well-executed, with more flavor. I've only played ~20 times, but this is certainly the game I'm reaching for if time allows.
