I love this seam ripper because it has a rounded point and the ability to cut heavy threads. I have used it on everything from my silk wedding dress to moderately heavy (3.5-4 ounce) leather. I ordered this one for a friend who owns an alteration shop. As soon as she saw it she fell in love.

The concept is great, but unfortunately the tip-- the seam ripper-- is not sharp. the clips are, but I quickly abandoned this one for the old standard.
