Jumbo Penny (3")

My son recently began collecting coins with his Papa and I thought this would be a fun addition. I also bought the quarter, nickel, dime and 50 cent piece editions. He loves them.The penny is well-made. The color, weight, and detail make it appear to be a realistic enlargement of the real thing. It arrived within 2 days, and I bought another one for my friend who was born in 1972. 5 stars, it's awesome.

These big coins are cool. I use these for demonstration purposes when I teach, asking the question, "Whose picture is on an American penny?" And asking for details about the penny, to make the point that you have to know what a good penny looks like in order to know what a bad one looks like, so we have to know what the should be looks like to know if what we're looking at is good or bad. The big coin makes it fun.My only complaint is that this was a bit pricey. I bought a large nickel at Gettysburg last summer for $3.99, and wished I'd bought the penny too. It would have been a bargain.This is good for what it is. I have a big quarter that I use as a coffee coaster.Nothing to be unhappy about here.

But, as Big Pennys go, this is the very best I've ever seen. Big, round, penny-colored and came really well-packed. When I'm done spending this one, I'll be ordering another. You can bank on it......

This was for a trophy for a school event, and it was perfect! Good quality, sturdy, liked nice, pleased all around!

I decorate but if I didn't have to have this for a certain decor look. I wouldn't have purchased it at that price, should be $3.99. Wanted to decorate using a silver one as well, they are just over priced.

Good detail. Thickness of body and edge are not proportional to an actual coin; edge is more pronounced, main body is thinner. Doesn't really matter though, still nice.

I took my Grandson to the Barber and he told a story about a shinny penny. It was about keeping his penny shinny which was really being honest and kind which shinned the penny. He told it in detail and we just loved the story so we purchased the large penny so our Grandson would keep it and look at it often as a reminder. We also purchased one for the Barber.

This is perfect for my sons batcave (batman), that I am making him. From older episodes batman had a large penny as one of his objects displayed in his batcave, so this large penny is perfect!!
