Great Unisex Designs!
I'm posting reviews for all the Safety Tat designs I bought in spring 2018 (I typically buy in spring to replenish our Safety Tat supply ahead of summer travels--and I buy enough to last through the year. Yes, I always have these on hand!). I've been buying Safety Tats for six years now for my kids. The first go 'round, we were taking out then 1 and 3 year olds on a California trip and hitting Disneyland for a few days as well as Legoland and other heavily trafficked places. Understandably, I worried about our kids being separated from us . . . so I got the Safety Tats and trained them to recognize staffers wherever we went. I've had NO problem with being able to write on the tattoos or with durability; I follow the prep and application instructions and all works well. They hold up in the pool, at the beach, in the sun and rain, in the bath, and with careful sunscreen application AROUND--not smeared across--the writing on the tattoo (I applied a tattoo to another child who then slathered sunscreen across the tattoo--so, of course, the writing smudged. I then tidied up the writing.). How long the tattoo lasts depends heavily on the child its on, I've discovered from observing my own and other children on whom I've applied the tattoos. Sometimes, a child picks at the tattoo or scrubs the edges hard when bathing. Understandably, the tattoos then need to be changed after a couple of days. On my kids, the tattoos typically last at least a week, sometimes over two weeks . . . although my daughter has been known to pull hers off so she can have a new design. Hahahaha! Can't blame her--the designs are cute.Obviously, Safety Tats are just one of a number of strategies you need to use to keep your kids safe. But I love that my kids have my and my husband's cell numbers on them (literally) in case of emergency. My kids also feel better knowing others can help them contact mom and dad via numbers on the tattoos . . . especially my son, who has our numbers memorized but also has severe food allergies and likes the security of knowing our numbers are on him in case he can’t speak them. We've been complimented and gotten queries about where to get the Safety Tats over the years (a few years ago, one worker at Legoland said to me he wishes everyone would have such tattoos on their younger kids because he couldn't even count how many frightened young children he helped who had been separated from their parents in the two weeks before the day we visited. WOW.).In terms of the Multi Design 6 Pack: we've bought these designs several times in the past and the kids enjoy them! My daughter likes some of the typically girly designs, but we are boy heavy in the extended family . . . and she and the other girls don't always like having the "girl" tattoos. So the unisex designs tend to be a hit with my kids as well as the nieces and nephews (who line up for aunty to tat them up before bigger family trips/excursions). I highly recommend Safety Tats. They make being safe FUN and CUTE.

Worked great for my 4.5 son with ADHD and Op-positional Defiance Disorder in Disneyland.
Worked great for my 4.5 son with ADHD and Op-positional Defiance Disorder in Disneyland. He gets angry easily, is impulsive, and will walk away to sulk, and he has even purposely hid from us (his way of putting himself in a timeout to calm down). He is distracted often and so easy to lose, and I was very nervous about him getting lost. He liked the pictures on the tattoos. These tattoos must have been comfortable because I only used 2 in 7 days and 6 nights on my son. He bathed every night. He could have torn it off, but didn't. My nine year old daughter also liked wearing hers. It gave her a sense of confidence that should she get lost, she had her parents phone numbers. My kids rejected wearing the Velcro safety bracelets I also bought. My daughter's bracelet was very pretty with flowers. I saw this lady whose daughters had typed typed ID tattoos and they were not a gel like sticker like ours and were very cracked. I think you would need rubbing alcohol to get theirs off. She said that she ordered them directly from Safety Tat website. I was unaware there were different types of tattoos. If you think your child will tear it off that might be a better option.

stayed on for over a week
First, these are not tattoos. They are very thin plastic stickers, and they don't break down or wear off like temporary tattoos. That's a plus in my mind - you won't have to worry about replacing it frequently. The downsides are:1. It's hard to write legibly on the bandaid-sized space once it's attached to your child (well, my child anyway). The item has a protective layer on top that's removed once it's put on the skin, so it's not possible to write on it prior to adhering it to the child.2. It sticks _really_ well. It hurt when being removed ~9 days later. And it's a non-breathable sticker. We pulled it off at bathtime and all redness was gone the next morning, though, so I have no concerns about using it again. We told our 3 year old that it was his special bandaid, and he should show it to everyone. He knew it was there but since it wasn't in his field of view, he didn't mess with it after the first few hours. The writing stayed completely legible with no smudging, and only the very edges started to lift (< 1 mm) over the course of the week. We did only apply sunscreen once, and went swimming for one full afternoon.

Safety is everything!
First tattoo lasted about 7 days on my son who is 2 years old. My nephew who was 3 however kept peeling his back once it started to come off which left him with a rash underneath the tattoo. So I would suggest once it starts peeling to replace it with another instead of trying to stick it back on to avoid a rash beneath the tattoo. We bought these instead of the bands because the kids were wearing jackets covering their wrists. We applied these on part of the wrist to the front of their hands so someone would see it in case they got lost, but also covering part of the phone number with their sleeves so we wouldn't have unwanted people calling our numbers. The pen worked great & the ink never came off the tattoo. Would highly recommend these & also got a lot of parents asking us where to get these.

Slightly pricey, but worth every penny for the peace of mind. Great product!
We recently purchased these ID Tattoos for our two children (ages 6 and 3) for our trip to Disney. A little expensive for what they are, but is there really a price compared to your child's safety? Taking tips from some of the other reviewers, we made sure to clean the area on their arm well with the included wipes and IMPORTANT NOTE, write the contact details on the tattoo FIRST, before adhering it to their arms. That is key, if you want a legible tattoo. The included pen is fine tipped so it writes very legibly and does not smear. The tattoos stayed in place on both kids for the full week at Disney which shocked me. One corner peeled slightly on my daughter's arm, but 99% of it stayed affixed. The kids didn't mind having them on and actually felt "cool" like they had tattoos! Because they were older and could trust that they wouldn't pick at them, we essentially placed them on their biceps so in the event we did become separated, they could show the park staff their tattoo and promptly call us on my cell.I would definitely use this product again and recommend it to others. It gave us peace of mind having their name, age and my cell phone number on them in case heaven forbid, they got lost!!
