Great mma gloves
Bought this as a gift for a middle age normal sized woman. They are comfortable for her but she has noticed the fingers could be a tad bit longer as she has short little fingers but with a decently thick hand/ palm. It doesnt cover her mid knuckle very well so if you have long fingers as a woman you may want to get the next size up not the smalls. She uses on a heavy and a speed bag as well as training mitts. They have held up great for going on two years of decent use. They are decent quality material with good padding and aren't too heavy.

Great value
Needed an alternative to boxing gloves to take back and forth to the gym. Not a serious boxer, just go to a gym that has a station with bag exercises and didn't like to carry the big gloves around. These work great, a little stiff to start off with but they have worn in a little over time. They have held up well and are so much easier to bring back and forth to the gym.

Ohhh eww that smell!
For $13 and free shipping I figured I can't go wrong, so I pulled the trigger and bought a pair of these grappling gloves. My intention is to use them for some light work on the WaveMaster Heavy Bag I am supposed to get (Somehow UPS still has it listed as arriving at the Richmond VA facility and Amazon has shipped out another one to me!).When I first opened the package I was taken aback by the chemical smell of the gloves. The odor was quite noxious and disturbing. I wound up spraying "Odor Eaters" foot and sneaker spray in/on them to cut the smell while I had them air out. It is now a few days and the smell although not as strong is still there. I have found that a lot of products manufactured in China have a heavy chemical spray. BTW I cut the made in china tag out as it was rubbing into my hand.Thankfully I read some of the other opinions on this product before ordering. Usually I wear a large leather glove and was going to buy the large/XL. Thankfully, I did not order that size as the small/med fit me quite nicely. They are snug in the hand area and of course the Velcro strap fits my wrist fine too. I am going to assume that with use I will see it loosen up a bit.The stitching looks okay, some stray threads and a few mis-stitches. Also being that it is a single stitch vs a double I cannot imagine that this glove will last a super long time banging on a bag. The neoprene padding inside is quite stiff, and will take a little hitting around before it softens a bit making the fit of the glove and flexibility better.Overall for a few bux over 10, this is an okay glove to abuse. I won't worry too much if it falls apart in a few months. I give it 3 stars mainly because of the smell and the uncertainty of the quality. I will revisit this review in a month or so after I get a number of hours/hits with them. If they are holding up and the smell goes away, I will raise it to 4 stars.November 17, 2012Update: Well the gloves are still going strong, the smell is finally gone. I am pounding on the bag at least every other day, so they are getting some mileage on them. So far other than a few minor threads coming loose, everything else is A-Okay! The gloves have softened up a little making them fit much better, the velcro is holding up fine and even the printing is holding strong with no sign of wearing off. Overall I have raised this another star. Actually more like a star and 1/2, still the original smell and loose threads keep this from being a 5 star product.

Impressed
Very high-quality gloves and very comfortable. For reference, I wear M-sized motorcycle gloves and these were a perfect fit.

Holds up really well so far!
I’m using them in MMA class and have been pretty rough on them for a couple of weeks now. They’ve held up quite well so far!Just the right amount of padding so I can still manipulate things quite easily while still protecting my hands.Though on bag work when hitting really hard there’s alot of stress on my wrists that would be much less with thicker padding. But everything is a trade off I guess! ;-)

Good quality for use with at home workout videos!
I purchased these so I could use them during a Beachbody Les Mills workout. I'm so glad I did! They are very comfortable. If I had anything bad to say about them it would be that they are a little big. I'm a woman with average sized hands( 9" inch circumference) and even with purchasing Small, they are still big. According to their fit guide, anyone with a circumference of 9" or less should purchase Small.

Good, but not for your thumbs
I own these gloves and used them for a while in kickboxing, MMA, and karate when my old sparring gloves went bad. They are fairly stiff when brand new, but a couple sessions of bag work or knuckle push ups will conform them to your hands. The wrist support is surprisingly good, and the comfort is just right. It gives you enough padding that you are not going to trash your hands, but not so much that you feel like someone taped a pair of pillows to your fists. I also like how it leaves my fingers free to grab. And it is well priced as well- the Everlast store sells these for around $30.There are two things keeping me from giving these gloves a 5/5. One is the quality of the seams. I had to touch up the seams around the fingers a few times. The other is my broken thumb. These things have ZERO thumb protection. My sparring partner threw a fairly light hook that missed by face and hit my hand, and a tiny piece of bone broke of the outside of one of my thumb joints. The lack of thumb protection may be good for grappling in jiujitsu, aikido, and other martial arts that utilize grabs; but for anything like karate, boxing, kickboxing, or muay thai, these are about as good an idea as wearing oven mitts. If you are a grappler or just want something for bag work, these would be a good addition. But if you are looking for something to use in sparring, whether no contact or full contact, I cannot recommend these gloves in good conscience. Honestly, spend that bit of extra money and buy a pair of gloves with good thumb protection. It is better to spend a bit more than spend 6-12 weeks with your thumb in a cast. Contender and Tapout make some good stuff, and I highly recommend the RevGear Pro MMA gloves (which I bought for a replacement). As for these, I will keep them for bag gloves.

Quality built if unrefined
Wrist wraps are light and the glove doesn't fit great out of the box but works well, and holds up to abuse.
