We looked up what was needed for the replacement remote of the garage door, and there was some very specific coding, and this remote was the only one that had it.. We had ordered another set that was supposed to be a match. That set would not pair to the door, and was a complete fail.This one, The Craftsman Garage Door Opener with 3 buttons, which looked exactly like our old ones, paired immediately, and worked without any problems. So I ordered another one for the second car, since it was just as old as the other. Now we don’t have to buy a new garage door opener!Yes, I do recommend this remote garage door opener for Craftsman Garage Doors.

I purchased my house 15 years ago, and the remote for the garage door is a piece of crap, all chewed up by a dog or something by the previous owner and barely worked. I was so pleasantly surprised to find one on amazon.com. It came quickly and installed very easily and works fantastic. Thank you.

I got my garage door opener to recognize this remote, and was able to open and/or close the garage door, but only about every third try and it would only fully open or fully close the door - not stop or reverse in the middle . I tried to program the other two buttons as close/stop buttons, but the instructions are not understandable. "press and hold the lock button on the door control" Does that mean the button you press on the wall-mounted control to lock out the remote? It didn't work. "press and hold the door control push bar." No idea what that means. After figuring out which buttons to press, you're supposed to release all buttons "when the opener lights flash." Makes no sense since the first step "press an dhold the large remote push button" of course turns the garage door opener light on and it stays on solidly. It's going back.

I purchased this item because on several occasions, my garage door was open when I got up in the morning even though I knew it was closed when I went to bed. (have garage door opener). Apparently, there is something that is on the same frequency as my garage door opener. This item is now taped to the wall just inside the door and I activate it at night for security reasons. Purchased 2 so my son could also have one just in case he needs to get in for emergency reasons which he keeps in his possession at all times. A good night's sleep is worth an ounce of prevention.

After a previous malfunction and a family members losing theirs, this quite literally allows me to get back into my house. Good Product at a good value.

Took only 4 seconds to program. Worked immediately, only had to press learn button..and then press remote button for 4 seconds. Bought and returned 2 other pricier remotes that didn’t work before buying this remote. (Side note) would be good if packaging had note saying battery already in remote. But other than that this is a great replacement remote.

We have Craftsman door openers that are at least 23 years old. This remote works perfectly on them and we have them programmed for each door. We brought several remotes for each of our kids. Work perfectly!

I needed a second opener, hence the reason for ordering this unit from Amazon. I followed the programming instructions as provided with the opener fob. It worked just fine, however the existing opener stopped working. Not sure if this was related to the programming instructions provided with the new fob. Any way I reprogrammed the existing opener following the instructions provided in the Sears garage door manual and now both fobs work just fine.

Was easy to program and only worked three times. I put in a new battery and it still would not work. Return it.
