Creeps around on medium pile carpet
The product description specifically states the pad is for use with low pile carpet, and it would be great for that propose. Tried it with medium pile carpet since there were no other options than the thick hard clear mats and the pad crept across the floor requiring constant repositioning.

Hard to make flat
My office chair was NOT sliding very well on the carpet; so this is a great item for carpet. Getting this item unrolled from the box took some time, next I had to place some heavy weights on it to keep it flat, next out in the sunshine helped to warm it up. Finally it was ready to put down on the carpet! Has sharp points under the bottom.

Feels like moving my computer chair on a fruit roll-up
My fault for purchasing this with too thick of a carpet. It is not a uniform surface, and will deform as you roll around on it. If you sit in one spot for too long, it makes divots that are hard to move out from. The instructions were good. This thing is almost impossible to unfold. Put it in the sun and let it de-gas and become more malleable, and if you use with super low pile carpet it'd be great.

Almost Perfect if not for the Dimples
The mat arrived according to schedule and the instructions included helped get it unrolled without cracking. It is a great size and I love that it's black and not clear like most others. It helps ease rolling the chair across the floor as the new carpet made it so hard to push the chair around; now it's almost effortless. I say almost because dimples are starting to wear into the mat even though I've had it for about a week is all. When the wheels rest in the dimples, it is still easier than rolling on carpet, but not by much. I wish the mat was thicker or more sturdy so the dimples didn't happen. Other than that, it's great.

great for the price
Arrived rolled up, so uncurling was interesting. Rolled it out upside down and put heavy items on the corners for 24-36 hours. I have low plush carpeting, so the mat does develop grooves where my chairs wheels are, but that happened with my previous models too. I use it under my computer/hobby desk. With the dark color, if i drop a small part, it is easier to see with the contrast than a clear unit and my carpeting color would be.

Bad Experience
I did order it used, but I wasn't aware that meant it could come covered in dust dirt and hair. I never got it to flatten completely like others have expressed, it is quite difficult to work with. When I did use it, I wasn't able to maneuver as I expected. I would roll back into a fixed position because it wasn't flat enough. I have short hair carpet in my apartment. Felt like a waste of time and money, but most of all, I didn't appreciate all the foreign debris. Don't buy used product from this seller.

Not very thick
Like the way it grips to the carpet. Do not like how thin it is. First time I sat my chair on it there were indentations where the chair rollers had been after only 10 minutes of use. Not happy with this product. Should be twice as thick.

Durable once in place.
These come rolled up and stiff. I use a couple of clamps to grip the edge at the top of a door (WHICH IS NOT BEING USED) and let the roll and gravity work it out for a couple of days before placing on the floor and adding weight to keep them flat. After that they remain flat.

Fortunate delivery on a HOT day
After reading mixed reviews about the quality of the material and the (likely relative) difficulty in flattening this mat so it didn't crack in the process, I was fortunate enough to receive my delivery on a really hot day. Once out of the box (it comes rolled up) it was still warm and I placed it on the rug where I wanted it to go and merely walked on the edges to tamp it down. Left it lying flat for the night in the cooler air and it's completely flat and works like a charm with my (plastic rolling casters) office chair. It appears to be more flexible than the usual clear mats that often break quickly, very happy with my (yet another) Amazon Warehouse purchase!

Not good on bare floor
Bought it because it said it was good on bare floors. The wheels of my chair, when they move off the mat, will easily push the mat around before they jump upon the matt. It also arrived rolled up. It took a month for it to unroll ... and it still had ripples in it. I'd opt for a thicker matt next time and not get one that has a shiny finish and slides around.

Good black desk floor mat to protect hardwood floors
First off this is for a hardwood floor with no teeth to grip carpet. The bottom side is smooth plastic which means if you have a heavier chair the mat will slide around unless you tack it down. I used undercarpet grip which held it in place firmly. The size is as mentioned. Durable, black in color with a texture to hide any wear and tear. Easy to wipe clean if any spills.

GOOD LUCK
This very dense package comes tightly rolled. Good luck trying to unroll it!It takes 4 people and then about a week to try and flatten it. This should come shipped flat and ready to use. Very frustrating and unhappy.
