Hunter Sprinkler PGV151 PGV Series 1-1/2-Inch Globe or Angle Valve with Flow Control

Put in watering system for lower property. Works great with existing automatic timer.

We have a grove and I have used many of these over the last 10 years. The problems I've had with these: 1) the plastic around the solenoid valve threaded port is too thin. If often splits if you tighten the solenoid too much; 2) if you have to take it apart to replace the head or clean the filter, it is very difficult to get it to seal again without leaking; 3) it comes with a non-latching solenoid whereas the Hunter Node-100 controller actuates a latching solenoid so you have to buy the latching solenoid separately (I have 10 or 12 non-latching solenoids sitting in a box in my garage). It would be nice if the latching solenoid were an option.

I like the Hunter sprinkler valves better than many of the other valves for their endurance and long-lasting capabilities.

We have 12 stations and love the durability of these Hunter Valves.

Never written a review before...... Saw a poor review for this and felt the need......I have a 29 station system that draws Lake water using a 7 1/2 hp pump......... I love these valves...... Hurricane Rita hit us hard in 2005 and really tore up the system....... Every blowdown tree pulled up underground water and power lines for the irrigation system....... We have rebuilt it all with a Hunter two wire system and where necessary these valves......... No issues at all with these valves...... For sure heavy duty and will outlast me........ Please use a little common sense and do your research...... The hunter website has really good free training....... I would not hesitate to buy this valve. it has worked well for us here on the ranch. I am not a professional irrigation guy...... We can't get them to come out here in the country to repair existing systems...... I raise beef cattle...... Me and the ranch hands did it ourselves to keep momma happy...Thank you for reading my ramblings
