Q: Is this made in china?

It is not made in China. We make it by hand in Chicago. We do not have any ingredients sourced from China in our facility at all. There was a review someone posted with a “Made in China” sticker that was either placed there or somehow made it onto the product, which may have been either an accident from Amazon or another bullying review from our competitor. Thank you for asking this question.

Q: How long wii it keep unopened in the refrigerator

A long time. It does not need to be refrigerated if unopened, so refrigerating it can only extend an already long shelf life.

Q: This product isn’t in a jar. It stays fresh without refrigeration?

Lots of cured meats are safe without refrigeration. Due to the soft texture of this product, I do keep the unused portion of the package in my deli drawer in the refrigerator, but that’s my personal call. Great product, by the way.

Q: Is this beef or pork?

It is heritage bred Berkshire and Duroc pork. No antibiotics ever and free to roam certified
