West Wing is easily one of the best series ever produced. The dialogue is brilliant, so much so that it forms a complex metaplot of its own as the characters develop to inspiring depth.If I had to pick a single feature that draws me again and again to the series, it is the inspiration I feel when I see a Whitehouse filled with realistically imperfect human beings who repeatedly overcome political leanings to lead in the public interest.Now in 2021, I continue to be surprised at freshness and relevance of the issues and values being dealt with. Only the bulky television monitors remind one of the show's age.West Wing portrays a Whitehouse we wish all of them would be, irrespective of policy preferences.

If I had to choose the best show on tv ever, west wing would have to be in the top three. Sorkin is a genius. The text is sheer brilliance. Sometimes I had to go back a few seconds just to hear the exact words of a speech. This series has not been dumbed down to suit the mass public, and rightly so. If the viewer is not focused, he will miss a few things. It ranges from great comedy to dramatic cataclysmic events, and at a furious pace. But don't worry if you've missed the meaning of a dialogue or the point of a scene, or what has CJ blurted out at supersonic speed, it is made for more than one viewing. The boxset is a must because it will last, every year, like the star wars, or godfather or lord of the rings trilogy, you will need to watch it again. The upside with this is, you might still be surprised every time you watch it again. Those who like good intelligent dialogues, this is the best you can get. Those who prefer good acting over anything else, every actor of the show has received an award every single year while the show was on air. If you like politics, what are you waiting for? Comedy you want? more than what you could expect.There is only one flaw with this tv show. It has put the bar so high that I doubt that anything else can even aspire to reach the same heights.
