terrific product!
Excellent product and company. I've bought horse chestnut in the past but never in extract powder form. I have painful, throbbing, unsightly varicose veins in my right leg from pregnancies and genetics. I was resigned to just dealing with them, but went to try on some shorts and saw them in the god-awful mirror at the department store, (don't the stores know that they should have soft lighting and fuzzy mirrors?) and they were hurting a lot so I decided to once again try horse chestnut. After reading reviews I additionally bought Rutin and Butcher's Broom from this company as well.I wish I would have taken pictures, because within the first week, my ugly veins had shrunk significantly! they'll probably never vanish completely, but they are sooooo much better! I didn't have this result from the other form of Horse Chestnut (nature made, I think) The throbbing was a less instantaneous and dramatic change, but now, three and a half weeks later, it has almost completely vanished. I have also been mixing some witch hazel with my body lotion and using that on my legs after every shower, which might have helped too...I wasn't sure how to take the powder form at first, tried whisking it in water and aloe juice (yuck) but now just add it to my almond milk/fruit smoothie in the morning.(yum) I might prepare some caps just so on those days that I don't have time to make a smoothie I can take them. Plus I'd like to take butcher's broom and horse chestnut twice a day, but I won't make a smoothie at night. I've since bought other supplements from Bulksupplements and find the quality to be excellent across the board. yay!

Lymphedema SAVIOR!
I have lymphedema and celiac disease and have consistent, extreme and painful swelling of my extremities, specifically my ankles to my hip, with an emphasis on the lymph nodes in the back of my knees. It is uncomfortable, unsightly, generally depressing, and also puts me at higher risk for DVT and varicose veins (Hooray!). I have found that Horse Chestnut works well to alleviate swelling in the lower legs. I have tried experiments with taking it every day for 90 days, as well as only taking it when sudden onset swelling occurs. I have the best success taking it regularily, as it seems to be more effective at general inflammation reduction.Don't count on this supplement to do all the work for you-- it needs to be tied with above adequate water consumption, and daily exercise (I weight lift and yoga every other day, and walk/jog 8-10 miles/day) but it relieves some of the pain and get the fluid moving when my other activities aren't enough.have purchased many "Pure Horse Chestnut" products, and although I was nervous about purchasing a bulk product due to product quality, this is the best Horse Chestnut I have used yet!. I make it into my own capsules with a simple manual pill maker and take two capsules mid morning with breakfast/lunch.

It's working!
Really helps with varicose vein pain and it's helping fade my spider veins. I take 500 mg a day. No side effects that I've noticed. If I miss a dose, I notice the spider veins coming back, so I'll always make sure I take some. The taste is awful, I gagged while swallowing it, but I got capsules for it now and it's very manageable. I have faint facial spider veins on my face, that I recently now saw improvement in. I'll take it for life!

Only complaint is the bag won't close
Seems to be a good product. My husband and I take it daily mixed in tea. We haven't noticed a lot of difference in health but it's easy to take and we're hoping to see results after a couple of months. The only problem was the bag wouldn't close so I put it into a glass jar.

Masking it with something sweet doesn't really help
I had horse chestnut in capsules before and I think my leg swelled less when taking it. With this powder, I might not have taken it long enough to notice an improvement in my legs but one thing I noticed for sure - it sure tasted bitter! Masking it with something sweet doesn't really help. So I just drink it straight with plain water. Maybe tea is the way to hide the taste better, I'm not sure. It dissolves better in hot water, which also makes it slightly more tolerable. ..

I love this product
I love this product. I started using it because I have insufficient veins in my legs and I was having vein ablation. This product works.Update. July 14th. I started using this product to help with my vein health during and after ablation. I then had a dvt break and send multiple clots to both lungs. I spent 3 days in the hospital. The dvt is from my ankle to my groin in the right leg. The have put me on blood thinners to get over this incident and want me on coumadin for the rest of my life.I have learned that Horse Chestnut is a clot buster as well as blood thinner. After I am through with this situation I plan to leave the prescribed thinners and continue on with all of my natural products including Horse chestnut. Of course with supervision from my doctor.
