Much better than a Lay-Z-Spa!!
Having previously owned a couple of Lay Z Spa's that both went wrong just outside warranty..... Pump failures, punctures, constant error codes etc... After a friend's recommendation we decided to try an Intex inflatable hot tub.The difference in the material quality is very noticeable and the Intex feels very robust and solid, unlike the Lay Z Spa's that feel more like a heated paddling pool. The bubbles are very powerful and evenly distributed, not overly noisy either. One thing we did add was the impessive Intex LED Light that easily screws onto the side. The reflective ground mat and well fitting lid certainly help retain heat. Easy enough to set up and this size is perfect for 4 adults.Early days, but so far a great start.

Worth every penny
The wife suggested we look at an inflatable spa given the price point (compared against a cabinet spa costing thousands), but I was reluctant. After all it's a giant paddling pool so how good could it be? However, after doing some research on the inter webs we decided to get Intex's 6 person spa (go big or go home) and I can safely say that we don't regret our purchase decision. It arrived all in one box, which was heavy and ideally could use two people to safely move - but being a typical man and after a Yorkie, i grunted it out to the garden and upacked the contents. The box contains the uninflated (obviously) top/lid, the spa and the pump/control box. The instructions were clear and I had no issues in setting up and inflating the top and the spa. I will say that prior to assembly and given that my garden thinks its rolling hills that I built a small deck to sit the spa on (2.4 m square as the tub is approximately 2.1 m in diameter), which added approximately £350 in materials to the price but it was well worth making sure the base the spa sits on is flat and level. Back to the spa. I had it all set up and ready to fill in around 40 minutes (I even read the instructions first) and about an hour to fill from the garden hose.It took another 24 hrs to heat to 38 degrees and for the dosing chemicals to reach the right levels. Finally, we get to experience the spa as intended and I was surpised how good it is. I won't insult your intelligence by stating it's as good as a cabinet spa with multiple and independent jets, it clearly isn't but the spa experience is excellent with the Intex spa. A simple ring of material sits at the base of the spa, which the air passes through when the bubble function is activated. It surpirsing how strong the bubble function is and I've enjoyed every occasion i've used it. No regrets and a great introduction to spa life. If, like me, you have reservations then all I can say is: buy it. You won't regret your decision. One small 'fly in the ointment' and my wife blames me as she says i'm a gorilla - one of the male clasps of the buckles (there are 6) that hold the top down broke first time I used it. No biggy, but like eveything in this world currently, not in stock in the UK.

Fish, The Intex Hot Tub.
Let’s get started, this is our 3rd in Intex hot tub in 8 years, These have been superb products, which our family of four have totally loved, and have all been used and abused ! Ok, here are the basic rules regarding an inflatable hot tub (intex, which we think are the best). 1: Only run the hot tub between, the end of March till the beginning of October , this is the cheapest running costs.2: Run the Hot Tub on tick over at 30/33degrees, when you wish to use it turn it up to the desired temp(for us its 40deg.) it roughly takes around 1deg every 3/4 of an hour, and turn it back down to tick over after you’ve finished with it,3: Important ! Change the filter after every use, Wash, the old filter on a 40deg fast wash or gentle wash, this will allow you to use 2 filters for around 3 months and it should look after the Heater in the Hot Tub.4: One Chlorine Tablet lasts roughly 7/10 days ! So check , and replace regularly! This will allow you to change the water once every 6/8 weeks(£3 worth of water to fully fill a tub).5: Keep the Hot Tub clean of debris, Clean once a month (we use a pull/push pump superb, at around £30 from Amazon)Stops you clogging the filter. The Hot Tub is not cheap to run, but you don’t pay Gas in the summer, and its a great way to relax and stay cool, and remeber you can buy 9 inflatable Intex Hot Tubs for one Solid body 6person tub,(this doesn’t include the cleaning cost or service cost of a solid body hot tub). Excellent , Hot Tub at great Value, PLUS THE HEATER WORKS WHEN THE BUBBLES ARE ON ! Stay cosy , check the Chemical’s in the tub before use every time you use it ! I hope this has helped, evrybody out there, thinking about buying an Intex Hot Tub, and remeber DONOT OVER inflate THE TUB, OR THE COVER ,if you can push down around 1”this is not a bad rule of thumb as far as inflation is concerned, and Yes! It will loose Pressure on Ultra Warm Days (Air/gas expands with heat the intex has a built in leak off valve which sorts this out) have fun, Chlorine tabs are roughly £12/15 for 30(full summers worth) filters ar around £12 for 4 ! THIS IS AN EXCELLENT HOT TUB,

Do not buy.
This was an absolute disaster for us. Product arrived, somewhat scratched. Thought nothing of it. Followed instructions and got everything going, within a couple of days water was rapidly leaking from somewhere underneath and damaging my decking. No obvious cause and not deflating so not a puncture. Contacted the seller to be told no returns and would not assist to find the cause of the leak. Actually extremely rude. Very very disappointing considering the price of the product. Also had to install an outdoor plug and buy all the chemicals and cleaning kit. Would not recommend at all. Ended up costing a LOT of money and only had a couple of days use out of it. Thank goodness Amazon have their customer service team to assist as the seller was completely unhelpful.
