Faber-CastellHexo M Fountain Pen - Black

This pen has a great price point, and the nib is exceptionally smooth.

I have a collection of fountain pens that range from cheap pilot metros to $1000+ Italian and Japanese pens with elaborate complex bodies and nibs. This is my first Faber Castell (I'm not into their modernish designs) but have to say, in a medium point, it's wonderfully smooth and wet. It's comparable to my favorite medium that has a rose gold nib that was customized to my liking. I can't say enough about how great it is for $50... far and away my favorite steel nib compared to others that cost 4 times this much. On par with Pilots consistent quality.The bad however is the way that the nib is attached to the pen body... this is the part the nib rests in - that the cartridge pushes into, the part you hold with your fingers. It doesn't screw in, it just kind of snaps into place with a notch. It may be worn out from changing ink a couple times (which definitely shouldn't be the case), but it's loose all the time. If you shake the pen slightly it rattles around. When I write I can feel the body of the pen move too. It really cheapens the pens feel, I'm surprised it's made it this far without being redesigned by Faber Castell, it's that obvious a design flaw. So basically I just use the pen to take rough notes, sketches, the times where I won't cry if it breaks or is lost (compared to my "best" pen that I'm always afraid to touch)The blue ink cartridge it comes with is also awesome. The royal blue color is similar to the Mont Blanc Royal Blue (I don't collect ink, it just happens to be my favorite color). I went through that cartridge in a day and replaced it with a converter. It doesn't hold a ton of ink... but that just means you can change colors frequently.

I am a Faber Castell fan boy. I own several various styles of Faber Castell writing instruments. They are a quality product and this pen is no exception. Feels great and writes great! I work in an architectural office and this is my daily writer (I write a lot) I bought a converter for it right away and that works great too. Even though this is not a fancy looking pen, the best don't need to advertise in my opinion and plain hard working pen that it is still gets comments from clients as well as co-workers. I am leaving this review because I am thinking about buying another just in case something happens to this one.

Der Füllhalter liegt gut in der Hand. Die Feder schreibt butterweich ohne Aussetzer. Die Kappe lässt sich zur Verlängerung / Schwerpunktverlagerung problemlos hinten aufsetzen. Kappe und Körper stabiles Leichtmetall (Mundstück und Gewinde "nur" aus Kunststoff, aber bislang ohne Probleme stabil). Recht leicht, da muss jeder selbst wissen, welche Vorlieben er beim Gewicht eines Füllhalters hat. Ein guter Füller für meine tägliche Schreibarbeit.

Habe den hexo Füllfedr als Notizfüllere mit ausreichend Tintenvolumen erworben (und vorsichtshalber den Faber Castel Grip zum probieren mitbestellt. Haptik lässt sich halt online schlecht erfühlen,Der Hexo greift sich gut, ist nicht zu lang und had durch die Form gutees greifbares Volumen für Männerhände, ist aber insgesamt etwas leicht. Muss man wissen ob man das mag. Er ist auf jeden fall nicht zu kurz, und hat im Gegensatz zu vielen attraktiven kleinen Füllern genug Tintenvolumen.Der glatte Federhalteransatz ist aber störend und bietet wenig vernünftigen Halt oder lässt instinktiv NICHT erahnen wo man seinen Finger plaziert. Man rutscht leicht mit der Kuppe auf die Feder, mit entsprechender Sauerei und Tinte auf den Fingern - war vielleicht witzig in der Grundschule, aber nicht mehr trans dreissig. Dass können andere günstige Füllfedern von FC besser. Klarer Minuspunkt im DesignDie Feder (m), zeitgeistig schwarzblau eloxiert, war eine massive Enttäuschung - kratzt, kein sauberer Tintenfluss, vor allem schnelle Querstriche rissen wiederholt ab.... und dass bei "m", nicht "f" oder "ef" !". Da der FC Grip (auch mit Feder typ M ) dass für den halben Preis kann (in normalem Stahl ) , scheint die Federqualität etc Glückssache zu sein. Habe daher den FC Grip behalten und den Hexo als ungenügend zurückgegeben .Empfehle explizit einen Füller im Ladengeschäft probezuschreiben um bei der Feder sicherzugehen.Info (für die die es interessiert )Der Hexo wird in einer einfachen Pappschachtel ausgeliefert, hat eine Patrone (blau) als Beigabe und schluckt normale Patronen von Lamy oder Pelikan ohne Probleme. Ein Konverter zum Aufziehen von Tinte aus einem Fass liegt nicht bei.

Soy un fan de las estilográficas de Faber-Castell, pero este modelo, al igual que la Grip ha bajado bastante en calidad. Sigue siendo muy buena, pero ya se hace en Eslovenia en vez de en Alemania, al tiempo que no veo que el precio de venta se haya reducido.

Ich habe den Hexo Füller in Rosé schon länger und bin hellauf begeistert von den Schreibeigenschaften. Deshalb habe ich ihn hier gleich noch einmal in schwarz bestellt - und wurde bitter enttäuscht, denn die Feder (M) schrieb kratzig und hatte Probleme mit dem Tintenfluss. Deshalb ging er zurück und der nachbestellte Ersatz (ebenfalls M) schreibt wunderbar ohne Macken.
