Good vise

Had the vise a few years. Not very heavy usage, and not often. The entire front jaw broke off the beam today, when I was tightening it. The vise initially seemed to be a good value, but this unexpected manufacturing defect strands me in the middle of a project. I understand that, generally, vises are not made to the standard they once were, but this sort of failure is unacceptable at any price point.
