I cannot always find the Redmonds mineral salt for equines at local Farm stores. It's definitely a plus to be able to get it from Amazon when I need it. Product is good the horses like it top dressed over food

Best salt for our horse. He loves it and we just mix it into grain. Comes with a scoop too

I love this product. My horses drink more when they are on it and it's easy to just scoop it into their feed. They still eat their feed so much easier than dealing w/ mineral blocks whether the heavy ones you leave in the pasture or the small blocks for stalls which get broken up too easily. This is perfect.

This is a very good salt for your horse. My Horse is very picky. He doesn't like anything. I put it in his poll every day. He loves it and it keeps him drinking very important anytime of year, but especially in the summer will continue to give it to him every day, so !!!

Product is amazing but packaging caused damage and one bag spilled out into every single other items packaging I ordered at the same time. Lost product that I could recoup. Very disappointing with todays technology

I initially bought this to try on fly season. We’ve ended up with crazy amounts of rain the past few weeks, which has turned into the most mosquitos we’ve ever had. One horse is very picky with any salt added to her feed let alone strong garlic scented and flavored salt. So the one that refused to eat unless this was out of her feed is completely covered with mosquitos even with 3 different fly sprays. The fat gelding that will eat just about anything has very few mosquitos even while standing right next to the mare. I had him only on two scoops instead of the 3 so I plan on bumping it up to hopefully help more while it’s really bad. It was so drastic between the two I kept getting asked why the gelding isn’t getting hardly any and if they are on different feed.. only difference is this salt and quantity of feed. so even if not all of your horses eat it it will help the ones that do.. the ones that refuse are on their own. Which is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars along with I wish the feeding rate was a bit smaller to help with picky eaters.

My horse was absolutely inundated with flies in early March when the weather began to warm up, and I felt so bad for him! I also pulled a few ticks off of him early in the year as well. I decided to give this a go, as we use Redmond’s salt as our household salt and I knew that worst case scenario, he’d be getting a good source of salt, but wow! I can’t believe how well this has worked! Hardly a single fly around him now, and I have not found any ticks on him either, despite getting plenty on myself, and I don’t even live outside. Heck, I may need to start using this LOL! He has bad teeth and I feed him mush a few times a day, so I just add this to each feeding. I have not had any issues with him rejecting/picking at his feed as a result of feeding this.

Our horse needs the electrolytes but is picky about the flavor. He doesn't like apple flavored electrolytes which most are flavored. This product is better quality with one natural ingredient and our horse likes the flavor so it's a win win.
