Clutch went out quickly
We really enjoyed the trike the few times we were able to use it, but the clutch went out within 3 months and now we can't ride it. Waiting to hear back from the company on warranty or clutch replacement.

It is crap and came badly damaged during shipping
Do not purchase this unit, It is crap and came badly damaged during shipping. After less than 5 hours of use the rear disc brake snapped right off, the weld was not done properly. Amazon refused to help me because it past its 30 day warranty, the seller wont even contact me. So now I have a 1,000 unit that cant be used...I am at a loss on what do...no support from anyone. BUYER BEWARE THIS UNIT IS NOT WHAT TO BE EXPECTED FOR A 1K PURCHASE....DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY

Fun while it works ...
I bought one and customer service is crap. I send pictures of broken parts on arrival and they say nothing is wrong. Accelerator stocks due to bad cable, clutch smoked bc of bad accelerator cable but they won’t replace either and I’m 3 weeks it. That said, it’s really fun when it works and pvc does wear out fast. Use locktite and watch videos to remove govener on carb for real fun.

Built better than i expected. This is a very fun toy, worth the money, but the title was misleading. It does no go 40 mph, it goes 26 mph.

Ride it more then my motorcycle
Frame is built very well. Little stuff like on off switch is cheap and the forks bearings are the weak point. Ive been running mine hard for a year now. Advice would be locktight all bolts on the frame. Also add nuts to the rear wheel bolts. This thing is a blast to ride. I have a speedometer on mine and run 34mph gps is 34mph also.Let me update. Wheels need to be bolts in and nuts added. Second clutch needs to be lubricated everytime before you ride. Dont know how? Look it up. Third all frames bolts need locktight on threads. Fourth check key nuts ect before riding each time. Mainly rear hub' s spindle nuts. Fifth lube chain often. I got mine for 840 directly from website so look around. Main this is frame and motor. All other stuff can be upgradged later. You have a platform to improve the trike. If you dont have a lick of mechincal skills then i dont recommend it.

We run a fleet of these, here is what you should know before buying one.
I am a Shriner, and the Captain of our Drift Trike Parade Unit at our Shrine. We purchased 10 of these trikes at once, and as you might imagine, we have learned a lot about them.Note: the picture is a ScooterX trike with a custom fabricated fiberglass body we made for them.The first thing to know, the price is very good. However, you get what you pay for.Assembly: These trikes are very easy to assemble if you have good mechanical aptitude. The one thing I would really suggest you pay attention to is the routing of cables and lines. We learned the hard way to route them over the frame, after we already assembled it. Otherwise, they will drag on the ground and get caught or where out.The rear wheels should be bolted on using lock washers, and Lock Tight when assembling.You may want to get large spaces or lock washed for the center hub bolt on your wheels too. We found those main hubs to get loose, and cause serious wheel wobble.The Clutch: earlier I wrote, "You get what you pay for". This is very true for the clutch. The clutch they sell with these trikes is junk, and will fail. There are a few reasons the clutch fails. The most obvious reason is that the clutch is the cheapest clutch they could find. The other reason is that the front to rear sprocket ratio is not high enough to preserve the clutch. The ration should be at least 5:1, and the stock ratio on these is somewhere around 3:1. This means the clutch gets really hot, and the spring in the clutch loses it's temper. We went to Hilliard Extreme Duty Clutches, and still had issues due to the ratio. Granted, we beat the snot out of these in a standard parade. We ended up putting lighter springs in the Hilliard clutches, and they seem to be holding up now. We do plan to change the ratio at some point as well.Rear Brake Mount: I saw this mentioned in one of the reviews, and it is a fatal design flaw. The rear brakes are mounted to a piece of flat stock that is welded to the frame. we have had 4 trikes break at this weld now. That is a 40% failure rate. If you buy one of these trikes, you should plan on reinforcing this brake mount somehow.PVC Slicks: The slicks on these trikes will last you a very short amount of time. Hit a sharp rock, and they may just break on you. After a lot of research we found that 10" Schedule 80 ABS is the best thing for us. The problem for the standard home user is that you can only get that by purchasing 20' of it. That works fine for us. Bottom line, look for a way to get some 10" ABS or PVC. I have seen it sold on Amazon and through some dealers for $40-$60 a set, my cost after buying the 20' pipe is about $15 a set, and it lasts an entire parade season.Gooseneck: If you ride your trike a lot, the goose neck bearing will wear out. I bought after market bearings and replaced mine. I went with "Cane Creek 40 ZS44/28.6 EC44/40 Conversion Headset Black". These are a huge improvement over the stock bearings. Again, you got what you paid for. The stock bearings aren't terrible, but long term they will fail you.Front Brakes: As I wrote, we ordered 10 trikes, and we got two different front brake set ups. 4 of our trikes came with adjustable brakes on the front, and the others we not adjustable. On the trikes that were not adjustable, we had to fabricate shims to "adjust" the pads on the brakes.The Motors: The engines on these trikes are pretty much bullet proof. They are a very good Honda Clone, and should give you many hours of fun. The claim of 40 MPH is very real! I have been clocked at 42 MPH on my trike.Ergonomics: As stated in one of the other reviews here, if you are over 5' 8" the foot rest position is going to be uncomfortable for you. We have had to manufacture a way to extend out foot pegs out further.Overall: They are decent trikes for the money, except for the fatal brake mount issue. I expected a cheap clutch, and the sprocket ration is just poor design, but can be worked around. However, the brake mount will result in a broken frame eventually, unless you address it on your own.
