I like the way that explains every detail in the gita. Is a perfect book to study it's a mean of knowledge.

It's an honor to be the first commenter on this magnificent Bhagavad Gita Home Study Course. This nine-volume commentary on the Bhagavad Gita by Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Chennai, India—a teacher of Vedanta whose tradition goes all the way back to Shankara and further—is the most comprehensive and accurate description of the Gita to-date. While this nine-volume set is not for the beginner (see "The Teaching of the Bhagavad Gita" also by Dayananda and available on Amazon), it's attention to detail regarding the context of the Gita, definition of Sanskrit terms, and the Vedic teachings, is unrivaled. In short, this is the real deal, straight from the heart of the Vedanta tradition from which the Gita comes from. That said, the Gita's teachings are not easy. The Gita is a compendium of self-knowledge derived from the Upanishads (esoteric scripture found at the end of the Vedas). Nevertheless, if you're ready for it, what lies in this nine-volume set is essentially a detailed blueprint for a life free from suffering. The Gita does this by teaching both self-knowledge (brahma-vidya) and the means to prepare for it (yoga). What makes this nine-volume set even more special is that it's actually a series of edited classroom discussions that were given by Dayananda to his students, "presented to the reader as a program for self-study." Highly recommended for all students of Vedanta as well as those interested in understanding the Gita free of personal interpretation.

I ordered all volumes. These are great commentaries to make you truly understand the meaning of the Gita. translation to English is great, but having it in original language side by side is so nice! Thankyou ! Highly recommend.

I would recommend this to any reader who are looking for authentic translation and commentary, The books follows the tradition of word to word translation, followed by english translation then commentary. The book in not polluted by any 'sucking up' tendency which is present in most western translations by colonized minds.

Very instructive, gets at the essence of the teaching in a very easy to read text. Highly recommend to anyone interested in learning this foundational scripture.
