Installed easily, working fine.
It took a while for this 2 TB Toshiba drive to arrive via USPS. I thought it was lost, but then it showed up.I used disk management in Windows 11 to initialize it and assign a drive letter. Then I used it to back up another drive. I would not call this a high performance HDD, but the price was right.Write speed seems a bit slow, but maybe that's because I'm used to SSDs. Really this is a good generic drive. I've used Toshiba drives in the past with no problems at all.

Works.
Beeing used in a freenas box to stores files as backup. Does what it's supposed to.

Really Like the Toshiba Hard Drives
Cannot quite put my finger on it, but the Toshiba is a better hard drive than the Western Digital and Seagate drives in my Mac Pro.Actually I have two Toshiba hard drives, plus a Western Digital and a Seagate in my 2009 Mac Pro. I have a Manjaro install on each hard drive (don’t ask why, too wordy), and the Toshiba drives just seems to boot quicker and loads applications quicker than the other two.

Works but it’s loud
Well, it’s an internal SATA drive. It works as my main Windows drive and after a few months, no issues. It did not come with the 4 mounting screws so be sure you already have them. It did come with a right angle SATA cable that I used to install in my tower PC.So, while it works fine, it makes the ‘old hard drive from the 90s’ grinding noise most of the time. Pretty loud and very noticeable.Again, after a few months, it seems to be working fine but I always cringe a little when I start the computer up and hear that grind.

Especially useful "doodad" for a router with an available USB port!
This device uses a USB interface to supply its power. It was a piece of cake to configure the small print server using WiFi from my iPad (Pro). At first, I used their dongle to power the device until I realized that I really did not wantto sacrifice one of the 4 ports on my router (Nighthawk 7500R). My router was supposedto support printer sharing but the software required for the PCs was not supported under Windows 10.I wanted to use my Laserjet 4M (a real classic) to be shared across 3 other PCs. Using aconverter cable to change its Parallel/Centronics interface to USB, I HAD been using a printer switchpointing to a virtual USB port (USB001) under Windows 10. Unfortunately, those idiotsat Microsoft broke the ability to use the printer that way with the release of their lastpatch. (Restoring the OS from an image to its previous state proved that Microsofthad broken the feature which I needed and had been using for some time -- until now!)But this little device proved to be an elegant workaround to MSOFT's FU. Taking the nowconfigured (wirelessly) print server from the dongle and plugging their USB cable directlyinto the USB port on my Nighthawk router -- voila!Problem solved.I don't understand the negative reviews here. The darned thing works very well!

Noisy
This hard drive is extremely noisy, if you are about 50 feet around the hard drive you will heard it 24 hours. Also, Amazon is stating that the return is free, well, guess what, it is not, you have to pay $6.95, even if you have Prime.

Good storage
Reliable large storage for video files and editing or games and software. Whatever you are looking for, it's capable. Just not as fast as an SSD but you can't beat price per gigabyte.
