Perfect!
I bought the 30,000 btu unit with stand. I bought a 100,000 btu Gas One Propane burner last spring and it was just too big and it was really terrible on low settings. If I wanted to use a regular size pot or pan for slow cooking the burner couldn’t get that low without going out all the time. Plus that burner was 10” in diameter instead of 8” like the ARC burner. That 2” really makes a difference. When using a 10” pan on a 10” burner a lot of the flame is being wasted by going up the side of the pot or pan instead of being directly beneath it.Also the thing about really high btu stoves is the regulator allows so much more gas to reach the stove, and the flame holes are bigger, that you really need to have it cranked up or it just keeps going out (even with a blue flame). So basically the Gas One stove is only good for pots larger 12” or larger. That really limits what you can cook efficiently. Big stock pots or deep frying turkeys which I do neither of.I got the 8” 30,000 btu thinking it would suit my type of cooking and sautéed seafoods like shrimp and calamari flambéed with wine, onions mushrooms, butter, lemon and seasoning where you need a big enough flame to ignite the alcohol in the wine but also need to drop the flame real low to simmer afterwards and let all the flavors soak in. I”m extremely happy with the performance of this stove and it’s built like a tank. Get the stand with it, you won’t be sorry. I’m a retired chef and a high performance stove is a must have for me. Here’s a big shout out to ARC! Thank you👍

Excellent quality
I hate cheap, low quality products. In this day and age, junk is hard to avoid. That is not the case with this stove. Although this stove is made in China, it is one of those rare imported products that is very well made. I love it! The body is all cast iron. There are no legs to work lose. The coating is similar to the inside of a home kitchen stove which is baked on, not cheaply painted. The hose length is long allowing you to keep the propane tank away from the heat. The on/off valves are nice brass. You can use the outer ring to cook with, or use the inner ring to cook with, or use both at the same time. Flame heat can be adjusted by the brass valves. The regulator is also adjustable allowing you to increase the gas flow. In other words, you can cook with a low flame/heat, or turn it up and create very high heat. This stove is under priced and well worth the money spent. Performance and quality are fantastic. Attention to detail is even seen in the care used to package this thing. Mike, San Diego, Ca.

it's a good purchase.
We've already tested the burner. It works wonderfully. It holds a large pot. Lunch for the whole family. I made a good purchase. Although I've already seen a burner that comes with legs and doesn't require you to bend down to use it. But it's a good purchase.

Nice heat for use with Wok cooking. But... top grill/standoff paint caught fire on first use.
I like how much heat this puts out. Gives good wok-hei and makes food more favorable. Pretty easy to use. Although the frame/stand seems minimal it is sturdy enough. Minimal also means easier to clean. Only issue is that on the first time I used this the top grill/standoff's paint caught fire and flaked off (otherwise would have given 5 stars). My wok sat too low to the flame without it so it was good to use. Weird that this happened given the BTU rating. Not a huge deal unless the metal underneath isn't stainless and then rusts.

Perfect for me - And darn impressive right out of the box
I had a 2 burner cast iron stove that served me well for years but it was very heavy and a pain to clean; so I tossed it after about 20 years. I took this one burner out of the box and just said, "Freaking Awsome". I use it with an All-Clad flat bottom wok. Also, with a 14 non-stick frypan. I use the wok for wok stuff and boiling since mywok is plain stainless steel. The non-stick fry pan does everything else. I understand the flame adjustability comments. But, it makes perfectly good sense for a burner with this high of an output. At the high end of the dial you get monster heat. But when you want a solid simmer just go to lowest setting. With a burner this big there can be no setting to just keep food warm. Cook or get off the pot. I have had this unit for about 4 months and it is still terrific. I did notice some people use it indoors. It specifies that it is to be used outdoors only.

Works great, but
Received my burner the other day. Works great, and I like the little extra touch of the wrench for attaching the gas line to the unit. Only issue I have so far is that when I went to season my wok, I set the wok, round bottom 14”, on the burner, it sets real low, and causes the flame to get some yellow in it. Had to season wok with me holding it up above flames, but I got it done. Takes a bit of tweaking on the valves, but unit works great. Question, do they make a wok ring to raise my wok on, or am I suppose to cook on the small grating that sets on top for regular pans? After corresponding with their customer support, I am suppose to set the grating on top of the unit when I cook with it. Works great. Thumbs up to their customer support. Responded within 12 hrs. Great

Will not hold any sized pot
The media could not be loaded. So we wanted to love this piece but the burner does not hold any sized pot. My pot is within the product's dimensions but it slides off because of the angled sides of the burner. I am sure it works great for a wok. This item cannot be returned through Amazon. What needs to happen is add a grate that will actually stabalize the size pots the listing claims will work.🔥Widely Comparbility: ARC outdoor stove propane cooker is suitable for cookware to 10.5-16 inch, weight limit 40KG(88LB); The burner should place on flat ground or stone, granite table. My pot is 12.25" and slips off the burner resulting is boiling water splashing all over, a burn hazard.
