Work great
Just installed these on my 2009 987.2 boxster. Fit and work great, hold up the hood but still easy to close. No longer worried about my hood bonking my on my head

The correct way to replace these OEM struts!
As with all things Porsche, there is only One Correct Way to do anything without complication (like losing your eye, cutting open your scalp, or scratching your paint). To easily install these struts without heartache, and to not gouge the paint on you Porsche, go first and get some masking tape, and apply it to the underside areas of the hood and the inner fenders around the original strut’s ball and socket attachment points for when you goof up the next step. Now, grab a broom handle, section of PVC pipe or whatever you find to use as an temporary “strut”. Tape or tie a rag onto one end. Put one end on the floor of your Porsche’s “Frunk”, and lodge the padded end under your hood (in the middle on a support area). This is in case the hood tries to fall while you are removing the old struts (bad). The pad is to prevent denting your car’s very thin aluminum hood.Next, put on eye protectionThen look closely at the original strut where it attaches to the little ball mount at the fender top, or the hood. There is a clip at the end of each strut (four clips total for the two struts) which you will need to loosen, one at a time, by levering it out and away from the strut itself. Read on.Here’s how: Put on that eye protection! That clip is actually a band of spring steel, and it might just decide to fly right at your face if you get too crazy here on the next step. Now, using a small flat screwdriver blade (preferably not a razor sharp knife), SLIP THE SCREWDRIVER SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY INTO THE CLIP of the old strut , and PULL IT OUT ABOUT 1/8” or so. You’ll see it dislodge. Now you can either pop the old strut off of its ball “socket”, with a wooden block, or lever it off with a plastic interior trim wedge tool.Once each clipped end of an old strut was fully opened, I found it very easy to simply place a small wooden block on the appropriate side of that strut, and “pop” the wood block with the side of my hand.Easy-peasy. Clean each ballmount with a paper towel. Fresh grease is already installed for you in the new struts (a nice touch).Simply press the new strut (make sure you get it right side up) o to the clean ball.Do one strut at a time. Remove the safety brace, remove all your tools from the under hood area. Remove your tape, and viola! Now, with old beer in hand, marvel at how your Porsche’s hood doesn’t try to bite your head off any more.

An exact fit for your Porsche made by the OEM supplier to Porsche at half the cost
The struts are fantastic the maker is an original part supplier to Porsche do they were an exact fit for my 2006 997 911 coupe . They were half the cost of the exact same Porsche labeled part . There is a YouTube video that shows you how to install them and I put both on my car in under 10 minutes. It was very satisfying to do the work myself and to save money over going to the dealer The parts are a perfect fit you will not be disappointed 5 Stars !
