The quality of this badge reel is excellent. I love that the EGA isn't just printed on, it is cast in pewter and then resin filled. Very high quality and well worth the money, even though I was not sure about spending over $20 on one badge reel. Once I got it in my hands there was no regrets about the purchase. It is a bit heavier than the cheap plastic ones that has a design or whatever printed on it, but if you are looking for quality in a badge reel that you will be using every day and want to your design (in this case for me the Marine Corps emblem) to stand out, then purchase the Pewter one from Boojeebeads. Are you a fellow devil dog? I've always worked jobs where I had to have a badge and a badge holder. Well, I got tired of the cheap ones that they give us at work or if you buy them in bulk at walmart, yea sure they will last a little bit and they are cheap, but why settle for cheap crappy badge holders? This thing, if you are a devil dog and you want to sport your branch while at work, this thing is Heavy Duty. The string inside is very strong, I shouldn't even call it a string, its like a damn rope!! It is very thick and it's not going to thread away like the crappy cheap ones do. When you pull on it, it can go out over 2 feet in length! So if you are feeling extra lazy or need that long slack for your badge to scan in to doors, well this is perfect, easy tug and pull on the slack. I recommend this to any devil dog veteran or current to sport their branch at work. Yut!

Use this on my belt every day at work as a way to represent the Marine Corps. Thinking of getting some for a few of the Marines I work with.The EGA design is high end and it has held up well since I bought it in 2017.

The entire device is high quality. Many ID reels are lightweight and plastic. This reel has heft and longevity. The reel assembly is much better than average: the spring assembly is smoother and stronger; the cord is thicker; the outer shell is sturdier; the clip is sturdy metal; the logo is metal, well defined, and attractive.

It needs a better connection piece. It won't stay in place when clipped on my scrubs. I dont use it amymore.

It's awkwardly big and heavy. I tried to use it on my srub shirt pocket and it's so heavy it sags that area of the shirt down very noticeable. Otherwise, it feels well made. The reel, the string looks, and overall design looks and feels heavy duty.

Nice and heavy duty! Good looking Marine emblem on the main part. However, that part is usually covered by my suit jacket so only I know it has the Marine emblem on it. Maybe I will tell people about it, or maybe I will wear it on the outside of my jacket, there is a slot in my suit for flowers. It might be too heavy and pull my jacket lapel down.....once again not showing off the Marine Corps emblem. Now I'm thinking why did I spend so much money on this when no one will see it?
