Would recommend
Works really well, instructions are easy to follow. I was worried reading other reviews about not pressing hard enough down on the lever but I’m afraid I’m going to press too hard down and break it on accident. Not really though it’s made of metal coated in a rubbery plastic thing. Definitely would choose this over an all plastic minimum metal button press. I am a little bummed it didn’t come with a full 5 sets for buttons like it says on the package but it’s only missing one top shell but I have 4 full buttons to work with before I buy more thumbs up 👍

Amazing customer service!
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter nearly 2 years ago. Each time we got it out, we failed at getting a proper button made, got frustrated, didn't have time to problem solve, and put it away. I finally had the time to call customer service after hours. I got a prompt call the next morning. Long story short, there was a defect and she quickly offered an entirely new set that is being mailed out. She was so kind and friendly, and showed great care in making sure we got an operable product. I would definitely buy their products again.

BUTTONS! BUTTONS! BUTTONS!
The device is easy to use! I recommend you watch a YouTube video of someone creating a button with it as the instructions they provide are more confusing than just watching someone create. It will also help give you more ideas on how to use the buttons.I used a bunch of scrap paper that would've gone to waste but now they have a second life! I'm even experimenting with other materials. I highly recommend using the included die cutter to cut the circles. The cutter allows you to center your design and see how the button will look before you create. I was originally going to use my Cricut to precut the circles and save time but I will save that for paper that has a repeating pattern.I wish the machine came with more button blanks (only 5) because I was hooked the moment I created the first one. I recommend buying more buttons in bulk when you purchase the machine.

It makes buttons. It doesn't cut circles.
I don't make a ton of buttons, maybe 100 or fewer a year. For making the buttons, this worked fine. It's easy to use and seems pretty sturdy. I like that if the inserts get messed up I can replace them and I can get different inserts to use. I'm using medium right now. I just made 35 buttons, 6 failed. A couple were from static buildup pulling the mylar. If I notice that the mylar is shifting I stop and run my finger over the insert and it takes care of the static. 1 fail, maybe 2 were user error. So I think my fail rate will be lower going forward. Alignment was pretty simple. The cutter is completely useless. I got it to work a few times with a lot of effort. It was just easier to cut them out by hand. I might try to find a separate circle cutter eventually.Overall, it worked. It's a good choice for the price.

Yes buy this button maker out of all the button makers on amazon!
We've tried a different button maker that was difficult to use and had many moving parts. This one is easy to use! You do have to buy additional materials but it was well worth it. These reviews have been hit or miss, but for us it was a success. But sure to follow a step by step video when you first use it to make sure you're doing it right but after that it is easy peasy and fun!

Works 1/4 of the time
I went through 3 of these because I wanted so badly to make buttons. I thought the first and second were just odd flukes because of the reviews but by the 3rd it was clear, they're not reliable. Only every 4th or 5th button actually works which creates a lot of waste and wastes a lot of the button supplies. I tried to male buttons for an event and eventually had to put it away because it was embarrassing how poorly everyones buttons were turning out or not turning out at all.

Works great, so fun!
I bought this on a whim because I have very craft kids and thought they would love it... And I thought it would be fun to try too. Or works great! Zero complaints. I like this design that comes with the circle cutter as well as the press.

Good for a hobby/beginners but not for the long run
It’s a good product and gets things done. There’s no problem with the medium insert, the buttons come out well and work with any type of paper. The issue is with the large and small insert the buttons don’t come out too well and there’s more losses than good outcomes. So if you want a button press that’s interchangeable with different size molds and actually comes out great in all the sizes, I recommend just investing in a good button maker from the beginning even if the price isn’t too appealing, it’ll work better if you’re in it for the long run.But if you just want it as a hobby or plan to only use the medium sized mold then this button maker is for you and will work pretty well
