I bought these for my Chromebook after the cable guy used and these don't work.
My cable guy has the same eitherlink dongle and his worked great, and these don't seem to work in my S Chromebook.. they just do not work.. there now just junk in a drawer. I wouldn't buy these if I were the person reading this.

does not work with a corded mouse
i have a 30ish foot run this cat 6 connected to a NVR (security system). this would not function with a wired mouse, possibly not enough power. found a wireless mouse and it works great.

Work with Canon Rebel T2i (EOS 550D)
I used these to connect my Rebel T2i to my laptop with a 30 foot ethernet cable. I was able to control focus, shutter, etc. from the laptop. I used this setup so I could take closeup photos of birds at a feeder without frightening them away.

Worked fine for Mouse extension
Extended my mouse for downstairs pc to reach upstairs bedroom. Have multiple tvs on an hdmi splitter but could not control pc from upstairs. Until now! Works as intended.

Heads Up!
This does what it says, it is NOT an Ethernet adapter. Does not work as one, isn't designed to be one. It's a USB to use a cat5/6 cable to extend the USB functionality and works great for that purpose. Otherwise you need an ETHERNET adapter. With a USB (likely "A") plug on the end. Trying to get a cat5/6 ethernet to work with this as an adapter WILL NOT WORK.

Works well
Works well! I used this to connect USB from the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) that powers my router and modem to the USB on my home server (about 25ft away). Super easy to setup, everything just worked.
