I never thought I'd say that I was absolutely in love with an easel before but this is my new craft room fav! This little bad boy is so awesome, I can hardly believe they don't sell it for much more than I paid for it, the quality and the design are just outstanding. The legs have little rubber grips to prevent it from sliding on a smooth table top surface. The back leg is movable so you can adjust the angle, the wing arms can open or close (very useful if you place an art board on it) and the ledge on the bottom is really sturdy. This is not a flimsy little easel, its a super star. I can hardly believe I bought the "right" one my first try after looking at a lot of these online (I don't live near any art store that I could check these out in person so thanks to all the reviewers who rated this product, you guys were so right!). I would recommend this to everyone. I love it so much, I'm going to buy another. Its extremely light weight but incredibly sturdy. The finish is a matte black and there are no burs, scratch marks or anything, its flawless. For something made in China, I'm absolutely shocked at how high the quality is. Kudoos to the company who designed this product and found a super fantastic company to make this for them in China, so rare! It far exceeded my expectations and I'm extremely pleased with this easel.

As someone new to taking on painting I did a fair amount of research before settling on and purchasing this easel. I love it! It came in a box with a convenient black drawstring bag carrier that fits it perfectly which would make it super easy to take on the go. (Bonus, this easel is very lightweight). The three stabilizers have rubber grips on the bottom and they don't slide around. The back stabilizer is adjustable, and this easel features additional extendable arms (as shown in the picture) to support larger canvases. If you are using smaller canvases (I paint only on 9"x12" and 11"x14" canvases so far), they fold down neatly, out of the way. The whole easel is fully collapsible which is really great feature. I am pleased with how sturdy it is in general. The only potential issue is that because the bottom support bar folds, it seems a little sturdy than everything else. I have not had a problem with it though, and would definitely both recommend this item and purchase it again if I needed to. If you're debating about this one, I say go for it!

I started an online art course that required an easel and i bought this. The addition of plywood and Masonite as a backer material is needed. It also adds some weight so the easel does not move unless you really push on it. There is one "flaw" in that the wing nut that is used on the back support does not always hold the position tightly. So on occasion I have had the back support suddenly shift.The benefits of the easel are:1.Tabletop design2.Easy to move and transport3.Not very expensiveIf I needed another portable easel I would buy this again.

I bought three of these little table top easels to use for my corporate displays when we do trade shows. Wasn't quite sure what to expect as you never are with these things. But I was pleasantly surprised when I opened them up. They're attractive, well made and do the job brilliantly.I do wish the arms on the back were a little larger, or had provision to make them extend even further as my giant hardback display boards tend to flop back a bit. That said, this problem was way worse before I adjusted it around and made them sit more upright(which you can do, with ample adjust ability). I'm also very fond of the little carrying bags they come with. Those are very well made and attractive as well.Generally I purchase things with a "buy it for life" kind of mentality. I'm not sure these will last for "life" but if they won't they'll sure make a good go of it. I don't see them wearing out any time soon, and in the mean time they'll provide a big boost for my professionalism, and that's what counts. Definitely recommended.

The 16 easels I bought were perfect for 16 x 20 canvases. We are running paint night classes at a gallery and a number of locations and they are easily transportable and come with a quality drawstring bag. The construction and quality of the easel is solid. The aluminum design and extendable arms even allow us to use larger canvases. They are also great for creating displays. I highly recommend these easels as they are also a great price! I think we will be expanding our classes and I will definitely be buying more.

Nearly all of the reviews talk about using this as an easel for painting. That wasn't my need. I needed some stands to display framed photographs and these are perfect. They easily hold my largest size (20" x 24") with no trouble. My photo frames are metal with glass so there is a bit of weight involved and this stand held them without feeling precarious. The extendable arms really help in supporting the art. Although the stands are made of a light gauge aluminum, there is no need to be exceptionally gentle in setting them up. The rear leg has a wing-nut set screw that allows a little flexibility in the angle at which the work (or canvas) is held. So a 5-star rating as a stand; not as a painting easel.
