Small sump
The item is 8 inches wide. But. The sump is only 2-3 inches wide. You can’t hold much material in this pan if you wanted to take it out doors. This is perfect for indoors panning small amounts of dirt. Does the job for small amounts.

Perfect for my needs.
Spot on. Feels slightly flimsy but can't see it ever being a problem unless for example i stood on it or dropped a decent sized rock on it etc. Should be perfect for the needs of most people unless you're a full blown gold miner.
