I love this! So easy to use and looks fantastic!
I found the outer and inner ring very easy to separate and had no issues at all placing my embroidery between them, even with my stitching extending under the rim. It's best to place the inner ring on a flat, sturdy surface. Then position the embroidery and guide the rubber outer ring into place with a rolling motion with both hands, one hand on each side. The faux wood grain design is pleasing to the eye and a bit shiny. My only nitpick is the hanger, which seems a bit flimsy where it attaches into the rubber. Overall, though, I really like these hoops and will most likely purchase again. Please know that this is a decorative hoop and cannot be adjusted, so I wouldn't use them while actively embroidering. It's more for displaying your work. I did sew the loose fabric together on the back so that it keeps tension, just in case the rubber ring isn't enough over time.

Excellent embroidery hoops to showcase your beautiful work
For anyone who embroiders, these hoops to display your work are invaluable. They hold the fabric taught have a built-in hanger and you can add a backing fabric to make your work look very professional, excellent product. I have ordered these three or four times.

These hoops are TOO tight; no adjustability
If I could give this product ZERO stars, I would! These have no adjustable screw on top to loosen them. The adornment on top is purely for hanging over a nail. The inner hoop is near impossible to get it out from the outer hoop. Two of the inner white hoops simply broke from the pressure it took to get them out. There is no way cotton/linen/Aida cloth (especially!) would be able to go back into these hoops once they are separated. Don't waste your money! I bought 4 sets of 5 to run a class. 5 different adult (experienced crafters!) women tried to get the hoops apart. I told everyone else not to try.Worse! When I returned them, Amazon only gave credit for the non-broken 3 sets. The cost of the 4th set (where we tried to actually use them), Amazon would not refund.Very unhappy overall with the product and with Amazon returns.

Difficult to separate, but that’s good!
The first shipment I received had two broken hangars, but I received a replacement the day after I requested it! The new set was in perfect condition. They were extremely difficult to separate, but I am so pleased with the results!

GREAT ITEM!
These are difficult to get apart, but they are great frames. Went back together with a little finessing and looks great with the project in it. Dresses it up and makes it look nice hanging up.

Gorgeous display hoops
These hoops are so much nicer looking than the plain old wooden ones with a screw piece to tighten. It can be a bit tricky getting the hoop back together with fabric in it, but it's absolutely worth it for the finished look.

TIGHT! These make great frames!
I bought these to frame embroidery work for a gift. They look great, already have a doodad on the top for hanging, and they fit nice and tight. Finished product looks great!

Amazon nor the seller solved my problem!! BUT, never, never give up!
Neither Amazon nor the seller solved my problem!! BUT, never, never give up! I was determined to make them work. The seller sent a link to a video which I could not play. They were notified again, as well, as Amazon who still has not contacted me!! That was a disappointment since they 'cover' their sellers. The reviews are interesting; how can one person have NO problem and, another be ready to throw a tantrum? I DID have the same issue as many: the 2 rings being so tight they cannot possibly be separated by hand!! I purchased one at Michael's and had no difficulty. Had already started a return but not ready to give up. Why not lay them on my patio table in the HOT sun?? BINGO!! I could easily separate them after 20-30 minutes and when I was ready to actually frame them, I heated only the outside ring as I didn't want the inner ring to expand. I was pleasantly surprised and was successful in framing my projects. The outer ring left residue on one piece, but I was able to adjust the fabric so it wasn't visible. May this keep someone from losing their sanity!! :)
