Let me start by saying that I purchased this as a gift for my wife. My wife is without question the most difficult individual to buy for. It seems as though I can never purchase something for her that is her style. I hit a home run with this for several reasons. First, the tool is extremely durable and sharp. This may seem common sense but many of the letter openers that I was looking at purchasing could not slice paper and would bend - flimsy. The second reason I like this is along the lines with the first reason and it is that the opener is all one piece. There is no seems or bend points. Third, aesthetically it is absolutely beautiful and the picture does not do justice. And fourth the packaging it comes in is perfect for gifting it. It's easy to wrap and it holds up well under the Christmas tree and in transit. Overall I am more than pleased with this purchase and more importantly so is my lovely wife. Mama's happy. I am happy. Life is good!

The packaging is so cute! Very sturdy and comfortable to use. My only concern is that it isn't that sharp therefore it can tear envelopes.
