MADE IN THE USA-Great Quality.
Very well constructed, very high quality, great price and MADE IN THE USA! We should all buy a few of these to stick around the shop or garage to have them handy when needed. For this price, you do not expect this great quality. This one works splendidly, it is simple and commonsensical. No whiz bang bells and whistles, light it with a match or a spark lighter, heat what you need to bend, solder what you need to solder, or start the wood burning in the campfire, it's all easy with a good ole brass torch like this one.

All Brass and USA Made
This propane burner end will supply a decent flame for soldering but the flame is quite a bit smaller than what the Burnzomatic burner head puts out. Still a decent quality head for a good price that works well. .

Not worth it at any price
When I fist opened the package I noticed the small size of the tip. This is not the size I was expecting. I intended to replace my old 30 year old propane torch that had stopped working. I screwed the new one on the propane cylinder and tried to open the valve. It was so tight, I needed to use pliers to open it. I fianally got it opened and lit. Still dissapointed in the small size of it. I attempted to close the valve but a small amount of gas leaked out and stayed lit. I had to use pliers to close the valve. Needless to say this was a faulty or poorly made valve. This thing says made in USA but a Chinese made one would probably be superior. I promptly sent it back for a refund. I will buy a brand name one and probably use it for another 30 years.

Nice little torch for small plumbing work
My 45 year old propane torch finally gave out, when the gasket bearing against the propane tank started leaking. It is interesting to see blue flame coming out of the base of the torch when you are holding on to the tank! So I was looking for a small torch to solder copper plumbing joints. The price was right on this one. It gives a very small flame - like the size of a pencil, thus the name. I like it because it heats a small area - thus more control. If I was a contractor doing a lot of soldering, I would get something with a larger flame so you could solder faster, but for the do it yourselfer, this may help you avoid burning down your house.

A bit difficult to light, but still a good value.
I started with 4 stars, but after typing this out, I had to knock it down to 3. Quality seems OK, the gasket between the torch and bottle is cork. The knob is not pressed on straight to the valve stem. The rest of it is pretty nice. I don't expect any problems out of it, and it is a third the price of anything local I could find.It put out enough heat to solder 1/0 welding cables to a 3/8 lug that was bolted to a battery terminal. I wouldn't say it was slow, but it wasn't quick either. The wire and the terminal are both heat sinks, and got hot while soldering it. A bigger torch would have done the job faster and would not have gotten the terminal and rest of the wire as hot. It is probably an appropriate sized torch for many hobbies. The trick to lighting it is to cover two of the air holes, light it (I used a BBQ lighter), and uncover the holes. Not difficult, not too dangerous although relighting after its been used, the head gets hot. The flame is almost impossible to adjust, because the flame gets too lean and blows out. Again, the trick is to cover the holes. With two of them plugged, you can get it down to a BB sized flame. I will probably find a screw the right size and make permanent plugs for two of the three. Worst case the flame burns with a rich yellow flame (like a cigarette lighter) and you take a plug out.

Great torch head
Great torch head for the price. On one cylinder the flame was high with a great tip, but in another cylinder not so great. It works as designed and for the limited use I have for it

MAGnificent
Mag-Torch MT200C Propane Pencil Flame Burner TorchIn the past I purchased the Bernzomatic Quickfire Torch's, but they constantly were failing. This Mag-Torch is 1/2 the cost and works great. I use it for soldering, lighting campfires and lighting my pellet stove in the winter. Simple and maintenance free. LOVE IT!
