Excellent quality and function
I have been using this for my work lunch about a year now… very pleased with the quality and easy to clean and carry. I find this size is good for a salad, porridge with fruit, or soup.Steel is not cheap, but a good investment that will outlast land-fill plastic.

Easy open close
I use this to soak my oatmeal for 1 hr. Do the job. Temperature is right after 1 hour. Probably not for you if you want to keep it hot for longer time.

Non magnetic stainless steel
I purchased this food canister because I thought the stainless steel would be magnetic like my Kleen Kanteen travel mug. A magnet sticking to the interior is a good indication there is less nickel used in the stainless steel. Nickel is carcinogenic and allergenic. I was so disappointed when it arrived and found a magnet would not even begin to stick to the interior! I decided to go with a food storage container that is ceramic lined.
