Five years in and I LOVE it!
First things first.. The finest steel quality tools are currently out of Czeck Republic or Poland. Hopefully Russia won’t invade and make them turn out crap again any time soon! This is a great tool and is equal to my finest Japanese marking blade! It is razor sharp and leaves a shallow mark that easily sands out and is easy to follow with a router or blade. You will never be without one once you give up your clumsy inaccurate pencil and move to the precision of markings to the 1/1000ths inch measure. I’ve tested this by installing a DRO on my cabinet table saw and following these marks precisely. There is no better marker!

Nice steel. Make sure to sharpen it yourself!
This marking knife is a pretty decent value. The first one I received came shipped very bent at the tip. However, the seller shipped another one out very quickly, so kuddos. It comes razor sharp, but this is actually a downside I found. This is probably why the first one was so bent. The steel is sharpened so fine that it is very thin at the point. So, it's easy to bend or misshape. It can easily get dented or bent to produce lines that aren't straight. Which, I kind of had trouble with at first. However, as luck would have it, I accidentally dropped the second one I received and dulled the tip pretty significantly. So I broke out my sharpening equipment and grinded it down a bit. Once I got the blade grinded down a little thicker and then sharpened it. OMG! This marking knife rocked! It makes a super clean line now that is dead accurate and it holds the edge really well. I took off a star only because it's be nice if it came from the factor this way instead of the razor thin edge.

Excellent fine carving tool!
I use this tool for fine carving work especially for carving fur on animals like wolves and lions. My first version of this knife was damaged in a fall and although I was able to repair and hone that one back to razor status, I wanted another. Prefer it to higher priced carving skew chisels for control and durability. The handle design is comfortable so I can use it for extended periods of time. While it's marketed for a different application, it is an asset to any Wood carvers collection of tools. Easier to sharpen than Flexcut knives.

This marker feels good in the hand
I use this product to mark lines in wood, especially dovetails and pins. Upon receipt of the item, I noticed that the tip was slightly bend. It looked like someone had dropped it and the point took the impact. I honed it straight again, and it works fine. I am pleased with this purchase. The marker is made of high quality material, and should last me a lifetime.

A good dual-bevel marking knife
Attractive design, with faceted handle (8 sides) that won't roll off the bench. Appears to be a well built and very solidly put together. Scribes a very fine line right out of the box without any touch-up of the blade needed beforehand. Seems to be properly heat treated (carbide scriber won't mark the blade). Came in a sturdy cardboard box very reminiscent of a CRKT knife. Inside the box, the blade was wrapped and taped into a protective paper sleeve. The sleeve had two small bloodstains on it, so I am assuming some Customs Officer thoughtfully baptized the blade for me! Heh!
