Just got this magnet today very well made very sturdy will pick up 350 pounds. Easy did not try it yet. Just got it today.

I confess I did not use this for magnet fishing but would like to at some point in the future. I bought this to assist in getting nails and metal debris out of my yard after some home improvement projects. It worked great as the power of the magnet didn't require me to have to drag it directly on the ground. Much stronger then conventional pickup magnets. Just and FYI no rope is included

I like to he design with having the ability to change the attachment points which is why I bought this. Everything appears to be made of stainless steel, nothing has rusted. The quality overall seems well made. I’m not sure on the magnetic strength ratting system and how those numbers correlate to weight capacity but this would be a decent magnet for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot but would like to get into magnet fishing or just needs to retrieve something.Surface contact area has a lot to do with the magnet’s weight capacity it will be able to handleIf you are able to land this fairly cleanly on something magnetic I think it would be capable of retrieving something that’s close to a 50 or 60lbs realistically from the water. Great starter magnet.

I’m new to magnet fishing. A friend of mine and I go magnet fishing on his boat and he has a set of magnets for me to use. They are round disks about 3 to 3 1/2” in diameter with thick magnets Inside. Three on one side and two on the opposite. Me,being 5 ft 1, 104lb, 41 yr old woman, gets pretty sore after many hours of throwing this set of magnets as far as I can into the middle of the bayou. I decided to buy my own magnets. I had enough extra money for one magnet so I got this one because of the pulling force and figured l could get more later. When it finally arrived, I was so excited and I took it out of the pkg and was like “seriously”? It’s so small, I’m going to get laughed at. I call my friend to let him know my magnet came in and he informed me that his son bought him a new magnet for Christmas. His magnet was more than double the size of mine. I was blushing and told him that size didn’t count and he’d better not laugh at my magnet. Now it’s time to test them out. My magnet is super light and I’m worried about it not sinking with the strong current and undercurrents. Well, in no time at all, I feel it pull to something and stop moving. I start pulling in and whatever I’m pulling on seems really heavy. It was a metal side rail to a bed plus some old cast iron nails attached to it also. I was so excited, I wouldn’t have been able to spell sh*t with three pencils. I ended up pulling more and bigger things than my friends did!!!!Ok, I circled the airport long enough and it’s time to land the plane. The magnet is super strong and outfished bigger magnets and only one magnet is needed. It’s extremely light. I’m very glad I bought this. I will definitely be buying another one. Best money ever spent.

Like many others, my son was hooked on the idea of magnet fishing after seeing the trend on YouTube.While it was fun to use, the magnet seemed only capable of pulling very small metal from the water. The rope is pretty short, not long enough to throw off any bridges in my area.The magnet is thick and heavy with a decent design and build quality, though you need to keep an eye on the screws/eyelets. If you don't use a tool or thread locker to make sure they are tight, the magnet may go flying away when thrown.Fun magnet for a young kid. If you're looking for a strong magnet to hold heavy things, is suggest going with a bit bigger size.

For as small and powerful as this magnet is I would give it a 6 star rating if I could. I stuck it to my 15lb dumbbell and had a tough time getting it off. It so strong that it's something to be reckoned with, while it's still in the box.

This little magnet was exactly what I needed. Yesterday, I dropped and expensive pair of pliers in the tank of water my water sofener. Today I attached 4 feet of clothesline on the magnet and within a minute, I pulled up my pliers up from the bottom of my 6 foot high water tank. It worked like a charm. It made my day. I hate losing stuff.
